Logos 5 on a 4K Monitor

I picked up a 39" Seiki 4K monitor; they're way less expensive than Apple or Dell 27" monitors and pack twice as many pixels. I was eager to try Logos 5 on it. So far I'm really enjoying it.
I'm not using Logos's built-in DPI scaling, but I do have the text size set to 120%. Here's a sample screenshot:
Rumor has it that retailers are deeply discounting this monitor in preparation for the 2nd generation, which should support HDMI 2.0 and a 60Hz refresh rate. The current generation supports only 30Hz, but it's not noticeable for things like using Logos.

Sweet! Who needs two monitors when you've got something that size?

Definitely need a second one for displaying a floating window with clause visualisations, and sentence diagram that you are working on (whatever the format maybe), and a note file.

Wow that is amazing. I currently use two monitors but this is far superior. Now I must remember..."do not covet".

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks it's ridiculous. This is even more ridiculous than those who want the FULL Logos experience on a tiny touch screen tablet. [:P]

Added bookmark for Seiki 4K monitor. Also added bookmark for Accell B086B-008B UltraAV Mini DisplayPort 1.1 to HDMI 1.4 Active Adapter after researching Mac Mini connectivity options. Dreaming of Mac Mini refresh with Haswell 4th Generation CPU; maybe next year.

This is my current display. 3x 24" displays, and a much lower resolution 32" LCD TV (the windows 8 desktop displayed).
The TV was my grandmothers and - while you can't see it from the screen cap, the actual tv itself has the info bar from fox news permanently burned into the display. She used to watch Fox 24/7. Its due for retirement.

Is there any reason an HD flatscreen can't run Logos? My vision is poor and I magnify my screen 200% with color inversion. I have a 73" flatscreen TV with HDMI

No reason at all... As long as it'll hook up to your computer. I have my iMac hooked up to mine so that I can watch hulu on a larger tv screen.

Should work just fine for you... Many laptops have an HDMI port, and indeed many modern desktop class video cards either have HDMI, or some other port that can be converted to hdmi for 5-50$

Phil,
Thanks for posting screen shot and info on this 4K monitor. For anyone wondering, 3840 x 2160 on a 39 inch screen is 113 DPI.
I don't have much experience sitting close to large monitors, just 20 minutes with Logos on my notebook connected to a 30" Dell. At that time, I wondered if the large amount of light due to the large surface would contribute to greater eye fatigue. Do you have any observations on eye fatigue compared to smaller monitors?
I had used two monitors directly in front of me and found that if the second monitor was off to the side, the overall light from the monitors didn't seem so intense.

I was going to buy a couple of those, but have issues with my desktop PC...it needs to be replaced before I can address that many pixels, and I am waiting for HDMI 2.0 to be picked up by the cheaper 4K monitors (so it will also work well for 3D video).
In the meantime, I bought a Samsung ATIV Book 9 Pro, which essentially puts a near-4K display onto an 11-inch touchscreen. i practice, I can't use Logos at that resolution--I just can't read the text (or highlighting). I usually run at something less, (1792x1344 today), and sometimes use program scaling in Windows--but at some resolutions, that causes positioning mismatches with the touch digitizer (a Samsung bug).
Here is an example of my laptop touch screen with Logo (Win 8), running in 3200x1800:

As I understand it no; it would require two DVI connections, or perhaps two HDMI (though I am less certain about this form of connection).
Most modern video cards are capable of handling a number of displays. The video card in my desktop can handle 6 with the proper adapters and hubs. It just depends on the hardware you have I think.L2 lvl4 (...) WORDsearch, all the way through L10,

Will it run on a standard HDMI out?
This is a tricky question: HDMI 1.4 will support 4K displays, but not fully. You probably won't notice if using it for Logos, but if you wanted to push full frame rate video in 3D, HDMI 1.4 won't do that--just not enough bandwidth. HDMI 2.0 fixes that, but is very rare right now--look for lots of announcements at CES this coming Jan, with products shipping about 4 months after that.

Is that a direct connection to your iMac? Or an Apple TV? Or something else?

Ward, is the Samsung ATIV Book 9 Pro 11-inch or 13.3 inches? I don't see a "Pro" model on the Samsung website, only a "Plus" model that is 13.3 inches.
