I've been looking for a Biblical Theology in one volume.

Would any Forum user be willing to comment on [and possibly compare] Schreiner's The King in his Beauty (published in paper but in development in Logos) or Beale's New Testament Biblical Theology: The Unfolding of the Old Testament in the New?

If there is another that is available on Logos that you prefer, I'd welcome that recommendation as well.

Thank you in advance for your help and suggestions.

I am particularly interested in a biblical theology that would emphasize the theological unity of the entire Bible.

I haven't read either of these, but I have read:

It is part of a collection also:

This book is the life work of Charles Scobie. It is one of the few Biblical Theologies that is focused upon the whole Bible. It is a must read if you are serious about studying Biblical Theology. I have a ThM in Biblical Theology and the books in the collection were required reading. So I would recommend the set to you.

Also, parts of Scobie's book were published earlier in his life as journal articles. So if you have access to online articles or are close to a library, you could get a preview of his book by reading the articles. I can't remember the specific titles, but just search under the author's name and you will find them. They were published verbatim in the book.

I know your question regards a one volume of the entire Bible, but as you study biblical theology I would also recommend I. Howard Marshall's NT Theology. It is excellent!
