Vyrso Books Converted to Logos Books

We have a standing promise to Vyrso customers that, if we convert any Vyrso title to a Logos resource, they will get the new, more extensively tagged edition for free.
To that end, we just completed a huge list of unlocks—resources that had been converted from Vyrso to Logos.
But I have a sneaking suspicion that a book or two may have fallen between the cracks. If you notice that you own a Vyrso book that is now available in Logos, and we neglected to unlock it for you, email customerservice[at]logos[dot]com, and we'll get it taken care of.

Ray, thanks again.
Quick question, is the Suffering and the Sovereignty of God the J.I. Packer volume? I cannot seem to find it in either Vyrso.com or Logos.com. Is that because it's in the transition, or is it because I'm looking for the wrong title?

I already received a conversion from that list on Saturday (He Who Gives Life: The Doctrine of the Holy Spirit). It wasn't until this post that I understood why the book was downloaded.

When these resources are unlocked, will the edition change. My Library still shows this resource as an ebook.

These ones you mentioned do not appear to be newly converted from Vyrso to Logos. I had them as Logos editions in my Library already, updated last on the dates indicated.

Ray, all your work to convert these Vyrso books at no cost is much appreciated.

I'm assuming there WONT be any price increase on this type of Vyrso books..

So, does that mean these books will no longer be available in Vyrso, just logos? And...where is the book: "How to Preach Without Notes" I don't see it anywhere and the only one I see in Logos is part of an expensive Baker bundle. Help locating it, please!

From what I understand the books will no longer be offered in Vyrso format since they now have Logos tagging.
Edit: and as such will probably cost more

I love this policy...and Logos ends up benefiting too. Cause I end up buying Vyrso editions of books that I anticipate will be Logos versions someday basically as a "pre-pub" that I get to read in the meantime.

The point of this thread is that these resources have been converted to Logos editions and are therefore no longer being sold in Vyrso at all.

DAL,
They pulled it from Vyrso when it was first put in the bundle awhile back. If I recall correct, it happened very quickly..All the best.

Wrong assumption. Such resources will be more expensive as Logos editions than they were as Vyrso books, because it costs more for Logos to do all the tagging. As Alabama pointed out, they will no longer be available as Vyrso books now that they've been converted to Logos editions.

I have just recieved one update by now. Is this correct? When should I expect more?

*Bump* I still haven't seen updates of most of the books in the list that I own.
Is this correct or did something went wrong?

Some have already mentioned that a number of the books on the list have already been upgraded prior to the release day, so I suspect yes, you have already been upgraded.

I apologize for the confusion. Allow me to clarify.
I posted a list of Vryso books that have already been added to Logos and have already been unlocked for owners. I did so because those two things did not happen at the same time. We have been converting books (from Vyrso format to Logos format), and not keeping up with the unlocking. We just batch unlocked a big block of books, but fear we might have missed some. So if you own a Vyrso book which appears now on Logos.com, but you haven't yet received the Logos edition, email me. We overlooked it, and I can take care of it for you.
Does that make sense.

Thank you very much JT for your reply.
I have a situation where a book I purchased in Vyrso is not showing as owned on Logos. I followed up with customer service and apparently it is because the one I own has a different license number from the one on the Logos website.
I am not too perturbed, as I still have the Vyrso (ebook) edition in my library and was just wondering for future reference if books were still being transferred now that Vyrso no longer exists. All it means is that I will have to double check my library before making any purchases.

Sue, that explanation doesn't make sense to me ... I have dual copies of my vyrso --> logos books.
Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

Sometimes folks in customer service are not aware of the policy or promise of Vyrso books being converted into Logos books when they are available in Logos.
Speaking from experience; and when they found out it was sorted out for me.

Sue--I'll take a look at this when I get in the office this morning. It looks to me like the same book.

Could you also take a look at the concise Whitefield biography by Dallimore: https://community.logos.com/forums/t/172866.aspx
I am not concerned about the promise of converting Vyrso books to Logos editions. It just does not make sense to me why the reprint edition is still being sold.

Sue McIntyre said:
Does this help JT?
It does, and looks like Kyle is on top of it. To clarify some things which were said earlier:
Yes, an eBook (Vyrso or now Faithlife eBook) should be converted to a "Logos edition" if it is converted... BUT: It has to be the same book. As Kyle noted, it does look like this is the "same" book. However, the "same" to you, may not be the "same" to the publisher. Sometimes the publisher will release different editions of the same book. In that case, you would not likely receive an updated Logos edition. What is really annoying is when the different edition is simply a change in Book covers! [:S]
Also: Previously, when a conversion happened, you would always end up with two editions of the resource in your library. That isn't always the case anymore. Sometimes the same file is converted and you end up with just one copy of the book. There are technical reasons for why this was the case in the past.

Sue. I unlocked the Logos Edition for you. We've tried to make the process smoother for both owners of the ebook and us but this is one of those older models where it wasn't so smooth. Let me know if you have any more questions.

Thank you very much Kyle. I am very grateful.
Thanks also to the others who responded. JT makes a valid observation that may account for the difference in license numbers between the books. If this is the case I am extra grateful for the book update.
I appreciate that Logos is still updating Vyrso books as it would be at a cost to themselves. Thank you Logos.

I don't think you will regret it. It is a book that I am glad to have in my library and is one of those books that was a welcome surprise packet. I refer to it regularly. It is a combination of personal insight and deep theological reflection.
