Hello Friends

Shalom.   I have newly purchased Note 3  with 32 GB storage.   The downloaded resources are filling up  its space quickly and the library is not downloaded in full.    Is there anyway I can move LOGOS or its Resources to SD Card?

Thanks

BSK

It is my understanding the only way is to root the tablet. Not recommended, because you can void your warranty.

I have a Samsung Note 10.1 w/32GB of RAM, and a 32 GB MicroSD. Would love to be abe to move my resources over. Is that a Samsung functionality issue or can the APP detect it and move it. Since I use my tablet a lot and would love to have more of my resources loaded to the MicroSD.

Love the Logos App for Android, it just keeps getting better.

Logos doesn't currently support moving resources to external SD cards.

Correct, but they should. As more Logos users are using mobile devices to access Logos and their resources it should be something thoughtfully and prayerfully considered. Most of my resources are available on my Android devices, and believe me, I AM grateful. The next step is that since my tablet is easier and lighter than my laptop, it would be nice to have my resources on my extSD to keep my main SD free. Plus with the increasing ability of how the Android app is able to perform like the PC/MAC version the more this become necessary.

I would like to be able to run searches locally when not connected to a WiFi hotspot or network. Being untethered and completely mobile is a huge advantage. That's what I'd like to see as the future of the mobile apps.

In Christ,

Ken

For a little more context about this issue, you can check out this thread: http://community.logos.com/forums/t/75257.aspx

In short, it may be possible for us to include an "advanced" setting option that lets a user type in a file path for where they want to store their resources, but adding something like that opens up the possibility for a user to seriously mess up their device (if they tell us to write all their resources to some folder that some other app uses, for example). We're not necessarily opposed to adding something like that, but it's not a high priority at the moment.

Thanks I purused the link, and will dig deeper...but it still on the surface seems like Logos development is behind the curve. But will hold out total anf final judgement after I have expanded my research.
