Citing Logos tools and guides

I am writing an exegesis, and I wanted to cite the different tools and guides available in Logos. I have yet to find any info on this, and there are a lot of tools and guides that only link to each other or the Bible, so there is no resource I can pull the info from, for example, when listing how I found all references to a certain Greek word or citing the Bible Sense Lexicon. My THEO department uses MLA, so keep that in mind when responding. Thankfully, we are switching to Turabian soon, so the same info for that style would also be appreciated.
To anyone who responds, thanks in advance.

Click on "Tools" in your top ribbon. Click "Program Settings" at the bottom of the middle column. "General" will be the top category that comes up. Click the down arrow head at "Citation Style" and choose "MLA". When the switch to "Turabian" is made you can come back and choose that instead. Now go to the resource you want to cite. Click the lower-case "I" in the circle at the left end of the top ribbon for that particular resource, find "Citation" and click "Copy". Finally, paste your chosen citation in your chosen style in your paper.

Thank you for your reply, but what I was referring to was not regular book resources. I am referring to tools and guides in Logos 5 such as Bible Word Study, Bible Sense Lexicon, exegetical guide, and sermon starter guide. Unfortunately they do not have that lower case "I". The information was helpful for other citations however, so thank you for that.

From the Chicago Manual of Style, I found that what you are looking for is referencing a commercial database. This would apply to all Logos data that comes off datasets. Look for the equivalent in the styles you need.
Item in a commercial database
For items retrieved from a commercial database, add the name of the database and an accession number following the facts of publication. In this example, the dissertation cited above is shown as it would be cited if it were retrieved from ProQuest’s database for dissertations and theses.
Choi, Mihwa. “Contesting Imaginaires in Death Rituals during the Northern Song Dynasty.” PhD diss., University of Chicago, 2008. ProQuest (AAT 3300426).Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

Thank you very much, this helps a lot. At least in my guides, MLA does not have anything for this, so I will probably have to use the Chicago style guide for this particular citation.

google "citing a database mla" (omit quotes) and you'll find additional info
Orthodox Bishop Alfeyev: "To be a theologian means to have experience of a personal encounter with God through prayer and worship."; Orthodox proverb: "We know where the Church is, we do not know where it is not."

The problem I run into is that the exegetical guide's Word by Word section is actually its own resource (e.g. English-Hebrew Reverse Interlinear Old Testament New International Version 2011) but there is no (i) button to export a citation for that resource directly in the exegetical guide view and it doesn't appear in Library view.

Perhaps we should start a Postmodern Language Association.
But then, we'd never really be sure of what we said.

One of the many reasons we've started producing dataset documentation is to enable academic citation. So for the Bible Sense Lexicon, you could cite the documentation (logosres:cidbdocbiblex;) as something like
Thompson, Jeremy. Bible Sense Lexicon: Dataset Documentation. Bellingham, WA: Faithlife, 2015.
Note this is still an electronic (rather than print) resource.
That doesn't help for product features that aren't driven by datasets, or datasets we haven't yet documented: we're still working through our backlog.

I want to purchase Logos for my essay writing but I have been told by other using electronic sources the troubles in citing these works. This makes using Logos in-usable for my college essay writing. I wish there was a fix for this. My friend tried to find this information by looking up the source he wants to use on Amazon. Sometimes it is a hit, and sometimes its futile.

I used Logos for all of my college years and citing was never a problem... You are unlikely to find something using the data sets which you can't then substantiate another way. For example if you become aware of a connection between two words through the sense lexicon you will still need to know more about them from other lexical sources which you can then cite etc. Mostly the datasets are linking you to other sources anyway. If you need to cite the software then you can do - I only had to cite the software once I think. I cited hundreds of Logos resources and always I added 'ebook Logos ed. [Accessed from Logos.com DDMMYYYY]' according to our style guide.

But not that funny, apparently. I took someone 5 months to 'get it'.

Nine years later, and it's still funny, Doc!
