I use a lot of visual markups in my Bible study and have created many of my own images for doing so.  After extensively marking a few books in my NASB, I have noticed that my Logos performance is extremely slow whether on my PC or iPad, and often crashes on my iPad.  I am wondering if the format of the images is causing the performance issues, or if it is just the extensive use of images in general.

I can't speak to desktop, but the heavy useage of highlights in a given resource and/or note document really hampers performance on the iPad. I think that if you find a completely unmarked up resource, and use a brand new note file, you will see great performance. When you start adding images to the highlighting style, that will just make it that much worse.
