Just purchaced logos 5 gold on my new iMac and it has already crashed 4 to 5 times with in 24 hours. Here is a log report. Thank you and i hope to get this resolved.

The crash is associated with applying a layout snapshot, but is not one I have encountered before. It may be connected with many other messages about a Times New Roman NSFont:. If this is a font you applied in Program Settings try changing it to Default. Also change Text Size back to 100% if you changed that.

The log still has errors from Times New Roman NSFont --> TimesNewRomanPSMT.ttf. Try to ensure this font is not used, else wait for input/instructions from Logos in the morning.
My version 5 was crashing so often that it was unusable. I tried all kinds of fixes, e.g. checked my hard drive for errors, ran Tech Tools 7 on the disk, defragmented the disk etc. All to no avail - I finally used Mavericks Cache Cleaner "deep cleaning" to remove ALL my caches. (a drastic measure) Now everything is working fine. Logos has been running for 48 hours without any crashes

Do fonts appear correct in other applications ? Does Font Book show duplicate fonts for Times New Roman ?

Hi Dave, I appreciate you trying to help me with this. I just called logos tech support, but they have already left for the day. I will call tomorrow hopefully when i have some time. I made sure that the fonts in program settings were at default. This is a brand new install on a brand new computer and have not made any changes to the software. Is there anything else i can try before getting ahold of tech support tomorrow? Here is the latest report, just a few minuets ago. I will not open any new threads concerning this madder. Here is one more that just occurred. I have disabled that font in my font book. It happened when i clicked on home screen.

Noticed crash had invalid font selector. Any font changes ?
Also curious if fonts have characters appearing correctly in other applications ?
No, i have not made any font changes. They are all set as default. As far as other apps, everything seems to be appearing correctly. This is a brand new iMac thats a week old that i got to run logos bible software.

I was just checking out all my apps and noticed the only strange thing was in pages. The top is in english, but in the center where you would write is a different language. I don't know if that normal or this would help you.
Can you run this test to see if there are any bad fonts and attach your results?

Thanks Tommy for your help and everyone else that has attempt to resolve the issues i was having. It appears to be working at this time. I spent along time yesterday with tech support with about four different techs trying to fix these crashes. Apparently there was one of my resources having a hard time randomly loading on my home page causing an error. We just disabled a lot of the preferences that load up on homepage which i am totally ok with. I tested four a few hours this morning and seems to working fine. I am so happy to have it working. Tech support were very nice to work with.
