Word List

Is there any way to add words based on the number of times they occur in the bible? Our vocab book goes in order of frequency. So the first list would contain Hebrew words that occur more than 2200 times. I would like to find a quick way to add all of the Hebrew words that occur more than 2200 times to a word list which can be used as flashcards on the app.

I agree, in fact, there are a number of features related to this which would be nice (I hope you don't mind me adding these to your list).

These suggestions would be to add searches to create a list of words that

occur more than x (in Christopher's case 2200 times words in the OT)
occur in Ephesians (for example) which occur less than 30 times in the New Testament

After this, it would also be nice to be able to merge a list so that only *new* terms from the second list are added to the first list. This would allow us to create a master list of words without merging meanings/nuances and lexical forms - it is similar to the current union merge, but a little smarter about how the merge works. Perhaps an alternative might be to be prompted what to do with duplicates and have the option to add a new card which we would then modify, or discard it.

Finally, it would be great to be able to add the words from vocab books (such as George Landes' Building Your Biblical Hebrew Vocabulary) that come with Logos.

Christopher, there are a bunch of grammars in this Faithlife group which might be helpful... You will need to log in with your logos ID and then join the group to see the documents.

Peace, Darryl! You are indeed doing some great thinking for improvements! Thank you! I'm looking forward to a time when I could remove duplicates from an individual word list .....

so, maybe in some future Beta Logos could check out various aspects of actually editing word lists *smile*
