Changing Books that are always open in Layout
Hi,
Whenever I open Logos the same resources are always open, including Amazing Grace 366 Inspiring Hymn Stories for Daily Devotions. I have no idea how to change this. I really don't need this book open all of the time, but whenever I close it, it's always right back there when I open Logos again.
Any ideas on how to change this?
Thanks

If you are using a layout (http://wiki.logos.com/Layouts__) then you can change the At Startup Open... option (from Program Settings in the Tools menu) to be Most recent layout - local as that will reflect changes you made to the layout.

Thanks,
I should have mentioned that I'm on a mac.

Also, I may have said layout in the wrong way.
When I start logos, it starts with the homepage. When I click on a scripture text in the lectionary preview at the side, the home page scrolls up and the scripture passage opens along with a number of other resources that are always the same, including a commentary, a few Bible versions and the Amazing Grace book. I'd like to know how to change these so they aren't always popping up.
Thanks

You mean this page?
To the best of my knowledge one cannot change the basic format. However, in the center column, the Bibles that open are based upon your Bible prioritizations; the commentary is based upon your commentary prioritization. I'm not sure where your Amazing Grace is coming from - could you post a screen image?

Yes! That's it exactly. Here is a screen image (hopefully)

If it was important I would have asked, as it was your description that was lacking[:)]

I think this is what's called the Lectionary Layout. There is a short YouTube video about it here.
It seems like the Lectionary Layout only comes up after starting Logos. Once I use one of my other layouts, if I go back to the home screen and click a lectionary link it will open in the last opened layout.

Thanks,
I think I have found a workaround. I just went ahead and hid the Amazing Grace book, and now it doesn't automatically open. [Y]

I guess that's one way! I get a different Calendar Devotional called "Connect the Testaments: A Daily Devotional" even though I have the Amazing Grace one.
As per MJ, other resources are affected by Prioritising resources

Interesting that I didn't get a calendar devotional ... I would have expected my top priority one if I had gotten one.

Interesting - the behavior on Verbum appears to be to always return the lectionary layout.

Mine is now a book of devotional readings by Father Keating, which I am more than happy to have open.

Regarding my previous comment on prioritisation, you can prioritise both a Lectionary (enter type:lectionary in Library Find box) and a Calendar Devotional (type:Devotional) to affect the Home Page lectionary choice and the subsequent "layout".

I'm learning about this Home Page stuff as per my previous post, so this is down to Verbum.

Mike, you can make your own layouts with whatever you want in them -- the common resources you use. Read up on managing and saving Layouts here: http://wiki.logos.com/Layouts__
Or you can open Logos to a blank Layout each time if you prefer, and then just open resources, guides, and tools as you need them. That's under Tools > Program Settings:

Right, Rosie, but one cannot change the default layout when you click on the lectionary in the home page ribbon which is what Mike is doing.

This is interesting. I just went back to double-check the behavior . . . clicking a lectionary link on my home screen opens the text within the layout I was last using.

When I rechecked, I got the text within the layout most of the time but sometimes returned to the default. Unfortunately, I didn't find the pattern so that I could have Logos look into it.
