When a note at one verse says "See note at <HERE>", where <HERE> is a Bible verse, the Logos note should just link directly to the note that is being referenced, NOT to the verse where the note is, which is what currently happens in many instances, such as below, where rather than the note for Hos. 4:15 showing up in the pop-up, all I get is the entirely unhelpful verse itself. Having to physically click the link and go to the verse in order to see what it says is pointless, unnecessary, and a waste of time, not to mention that it physically is taking me away from the location where I am currently working.

Yes, this is L3, but I'm quite sure it occurs in L4/5 as well.

One option for this would be to create a link on the word "note" in the white note so that hovering over it showed the text of that note in the cream-colored pop-up. You could then keep the link for the verse, as shown here. But if it has to be a choice for whatever reason, the note and not the verse should be the target.

Logos prefers that you give the support info ... or at least name the resource to which you are referring e.g.

Logos 5 has right click option so can open linked verse in a new tab:

Thankful Logos 5 can show footnotes.  Also have option to click Bible verse to change location; back arrow provides a quick click back.

This is better than nothing, but it is an inferior way of dealing with the need. On more occasions than I could ever keep track of, I have encountered situations in L5 where getting the job done requires more steps and time than L3 and/or necessity require. Opening new windows is a failure when the exact same job can be completed with a click and a hover. I don't quite understand why L5 feels the need to constantly sacrifice navigation elegance and simplicity in its pursuit of features and data sets. I have never used most of L5's datasets and features, but I am constantly navigating my way through the software. I am forever encountering usage scenarios that feel a whole lot more like devolution than evolution. It's disappointing, and all the more so because even if one of these changes needful across both platforms gets implemented and/or fixed, it won't be implemented in the version of the program that actually works the way it should most of the time, L3.

I don't own a car (the one I used to own and gave thanks for often was totaled), but I would not consider the option to own a horse and buggy an improvement or a blessing.
