Downloads in Loop - Problems with certain lbxlls files?

Yesterday I purchased 2 new resources from Logos and once again landed up in an infinite download loop. I suspect that as Mark suggested the problems are with some of the Galaxie Journal files in my libronix3 sysyem.

Here is a point form description as well as log files of all my procedures this month - maybe the files can be identified and I can replace them in the version3 folder.

Enabled logging
Started Logos 4
around 525meg download offered - while busy got notice to restart / ? logos 4 update now version 4.0a SR-2 (4.01.3.4767)
461.5 when busy got notice that download available clicked and resumed download now saying 1.24gig
1.24gig
notice resourses ready to be added restart
Log files added to logos4 1
restarted logos 4
Logos4 opened and started calculating time for re-indexing
Logos warning about slowing down computer
Logos indexing 4hours remaining
Logos indexing 1hr 52min
Logos indexing 27min
Indexing completed
Closed Logos 4.
Saved log files Logos4 2
Opened Logos 4
all OK
Ran update now - No updates found.
Set tools/options in 3 to find lbxlls files
Checked both systems no problems

Purchased resource from Logos.com
Updated 3 with update file and downloaded resources (2)
Logos4 later offered update - ran update downloaded largeish file - did not take notice of exact size

Opened 4 and update offered - started and downloaded 537.9meg
Restarted Logos4 and was offered another download = 3.3meg
Restarted Logos4 and was again offered 537.9meg - obviously in loop again!

Enabled logging
Restarted Logos 4
Offered downloads 537.9meg - clicked to download
Restarted Logos after download complete
Saved log files into logos4 3
Logos opened and started to index
Indexing completed logfiles logos4 4
Ran command update now - no updates available.

I had the same issue last week after installing my new journals cd's in L3. I was having issues with Trinity Vol1 and WTJ vol 70-. My second machine took them with no issues- but my first got caught in a loop when updating 214.9 MB to L4.

I finally had to delete my resources folder at C:\Users\Whyndell\AppData\Local\Logos4\Data\3bwswvri.h31\ResourceManager\Resources and my ResourceManager DB file to resolve the issue.

I replaced them with a copy of the files from my second machine. Then waited overnight for a full reindex to take place.

The system ran its course - it said it was indexing but it did not take much time so i am not sure. However since the restart there has been no indexing and the program has not requested a re-index either. At the moment all looks OK, just holding back getting 3 to rediscover the resources in the new folder so that 4 is not confused again! [:D]

I am not sure what the log files show as to re-indexing [:)]

Thanks for the help and interest - maybe a Logos employee will be able to identify the culprit files next week

Basically all your Galaxie (GS-...) files are conflicted.

If you allow L3 to discover the files I think the looping will start over on the next resource download.
