What media files are downloaded? Or is it safe to clean webcache?

I'm finally upgrading my PC, to add a SSD (and change a failing PSU and replant it all in a new tower).

-- I've resisted this a long time, solely because I don't want to reinstall everything; it's not as fun as it used to be --

Anyway, I've been trying to figure out my install strategy (suggestions?), what to put on SSD vs HD by checking the size of various directories, etc. My Logos directory is 67 GB. About 28 GB is in webcache. I can go through and determine what resources those media files belong to manually, but we need a way to manage this from within Logos. Also, note that deleting content within Logos is unreliable: I copied, renamed, and played a clip from webcache; determined the resource, went in Logos and deleted the content, and found that the next clip in webcache belongs to the same resource; it was not deleted though about 2 GB of content was.

Media resources take a lot of space and there doesn't seem to be any way within Logos to figure out what resource these files belong to other than opening each media resource individually and deleting the content, nor a way to reliably remove them. It would be nice to have a way to turn Library into a media manager, to show resources that have content downloaded and preferably, to be able to remove that content from within the Library, eg right-click menu. Maybe an option in Settings to completely clear webcache also?

That's astounding. I don't know anything about clips, but as it is only a cache just go ahead and do a fresh install using only your resources. Install Logos on the SSD for best results.

You can delete the entire webcache folder without any problems. At 28GB I can only assume yours includes lots of video resources. Certainly that's the bulk of mine (which is a mere 4GB).

You can look at the CacheData.db file (using something like SQLite Expert Personal, which is free). That will help you see which files are taking up the space. Don't try manually editing the file, though.

    Good idea.
