Same title name but is there really enough difference and distinctiveness to warrant spending an additional $200?
Might as well wait until Logos 6 comes out next fall, as see if it is included in one of the new base packages. I am sick and tired of financing other people's bargains by participating in the pre-pub program! This is especially true since I have the original version. Moreover, if next fall I find out it is not include, I can call my sales rep rather than just mindlessly click on the internet store and he is often able to give me a discount equal to the pre-pub price. If that doesn't work we all know it will go on sale at some point. Another, advantage of waiting is that you can use the payment play. IMO a 20% discount is just not enough incentive considering all the risks of being an early purchaser.
Whats the Difference and is it worth the cost?
One's the Old Testament collection the other is the New Testament!
It isn't an "additional" $200. It is an additional $100. The "Old Testament" collection is from 1997. The New Testament collection is from 2014.

I could not agree more, I am tired of being treated like a mug. Have you noticed that the bargain you see on sale is very often included in a new package just a month thereafter for a fraction of what you paid.

I paid $103 for the older version- now $200 for an updated? thus my original question is it really worth the "extra" $200?
From Amazon Product description of the revised version:
A standard and widely-used reference work for nearly 40 years, the New International Dictionary of New Testament Theology and Exegesis has been thoroughly revised and updated to aid today’s pastors, students, scholars, and teachers in their study of the New Testament.
Offering a wealth of background and information on the meaning of Greek words in the New Testament—as well as related usage in classical Greek sources, the Septuagint, Jewish literature, and more—this important tool offers the following features:
• Alphabetical arrangement according to Greek words instead of previous order according to English topics; this ensures that individual Greek words are not discussed in isolation from one another and are easy to access
• Expanded to include additional Greek words and concepts not covered in the original work, NIDNTTE includes nearly 800 entries covering over 3,000 Greek words
• Discussions have been revised to be in line with modern scholarship and bibliographies are updated
• Corrections have been made to inconsistencies and omissions in earlier versions
• Updated and added consistency to include—for every entry—all necessary background information from classical Greek, the LXX, and Jewish literature.
• A helpful semantic domain index now directs the reader to all of the Greek words that have something to do with a particular English word. For example, under the English word “Anger, Wrath,” there is a list of thirteen Greek words that are related to that topic.
• Significant changes have been made in the presentation and discussion of linguistic details

I'd rather buy the old OT & NT bundle for $235.98 and have a complete set than just pay $200 for the NT only resource. The new "revised/updated" version of the NT has 5 volumes, but the 5th one is just an index. I don't think it's worth it. If you didn't have the old version, then maybe you could consider it, but if you have the old version, then you can pass on it and save the additional $200 for some other books.
DAL
Ps. You can always order it and then return it if you see it's not worth keeping it.
The only thing to do is wait- buy it compare the 2 resources side by side, see how many detailed changes there really are- hopefully its not a bunch of hype.
I'm like others I tire of buying prepubs only to get a very minmial credit with package upgrades.
thus my original question is it really worth the "extra" $200?
No.
