Layouts & Text Comparison window

I have a saved Layout that I use daily. It consists of 4 Devotionals, bible and a Text Comparison on 1/2 my screen and my Notes (5) in the window of the other 1/2 of my screen.

I have the devotionals linked to follow 'B'. The bible has no link set. The Text Comparison has been set to follow 'None'.

I save the layout. Close L4.

Open L4. The links on all the books have been correctly saved, but the Text Comparison window now has the 'Follow" icon activated and it follows my bible. I do not want the Text Comparison window to follow anything and it doesn't when I select 'None', but, every time I restart L4, the 'Follow' icon has activated and 'away it goes' unless I manually change it again.

Any suggestions?

Blessings

It looks like you've found a bug, Carey. The "Follow" setting (or lack thereof) should be remembered as part of the layout. I have verified that this happens even if you merely close all your panels and then open the saved layout (i.e., you don't have to close and restart Logos). I've also verified that this happens with all the other tools that can "Follow," too, namely: Copy Bible Verses, Explorer, Power Lookup, and Cited By.  Good find!  Not that it's enjoyable for you in the meantime, but Logos is very attentive to our bug reports.  I have logged this on the bug tracking page of the wiki: http://wiki.logos.com/Bug$3a_Saved_Layouts_don't_remember_Follow_setting_to_$22None$22_of_Tools. I'm not sure which version you're using, but I have reproduced this in 4.0b Beta 2, so that's the version I reported it in.

Mine is doing the same thing with saved layouts -- and I don't even have to close L4. Just close the layout and reopen it and the Text Comparison reverts to follow rather than none.
