BUG: RIS Formatting Incorrect

The RIS format that gets exported from L5 is not the standard formatting and therefore doesn't work with third party applications.  There is a spacing issue between references.  I have examples but it won't let me upload the files.  I forwarded them to support, let me know if you have any questions or would like to see the email from Endnote Support explaining the problem.

    David,

Thanks for the report. I apologize that we haven't looked into this sooner, but it looks like a fixable problem from our end.

Look for better RIS export support in a future release.

    Great Bradley,

Also here is the actual body of the email they sent me for further detail:

    Dear David Taylor,

    Thank you for your email.

I did check the RIS file that you have sent. I found that the RIS tags did not have the proper double spacing. Instead, they had an "End of cell marker" along with a single spacing. Due to this format, the RIS file was not appropriate and it was not getting imported.

I have worked on your file and modified the file. Please find the attached file along with this email. This should allow you to import the file into EndNote.

Please note, there are some problem with the database from which you are exporting this RIS file. You may need to report this issue to the database as the RIS file is not getting exported in the expected format.

Please do get back to me if you have any further queries. I will be happy to help you.

Based on the information provided above, this case will be closed, and no further action is required on your part. However, if this does not resolve your issue, please reply to this email and your case will be immediately reopened for additional support.

    Sincerely,

    Sona
