Bug: Unexpected crash in Library resource list when using cursor keys - Repeatable
After opening Logos 6, use either Alt-L or Ctrl-L to open Library list. Use the cursor keys to scroll through the list and after scrolling several lines, Logos 6 freezes, crashes, closes and a Windows Error report is created.
I have tried this with the list filtered by "type:monograph" and with an unfiltered list. Crashes both ways.
Thanks,

I tried and cannot duplicate this crash. Do you have any other resources or user documents open at the same time?

Thank you for the report. We have your attached logs and are looking into the issue and how to address it.

Greg,
We were able to reproduce this in house. It looks like "Argonautica" from the Perseus collection is one of the resources that cause this crash. The bug stems from some bad metadata in the resource. We've got a code fix in development that will be released with an upcoming SR (service release) of Logos 6.
For now, there is a possible work around:
1) Start with a blank layout
2) Open Tools > Program Settings
3) Change your default citation style to RIS (or another style that doesn't use italics for titles).
4) Open library and see if the issue persists.
Another option is to hide the "Argonautica" resource. The problem there is that if when you select the resource it might crash the library if your citation style uses italics, so you might want to follow the steps above to change the default citation style before hiding the resource. (Assuming this is the only resource affected, you can change your default style back after hiding the resource and restarting).

Thanks Tom,
The workaround of changing the citation style to RIS worked. I can scroll through the resource lists and not crash now. Looking forward to the SR that fixes it.
Thank you, once again, for your proactive contact when you saw Logos 6 crashing on my installation and for your quick effort to support us with a workaround. Excellent customer service for an excellent product!

We've updated the citation metadata for all the Perseus resources that were affected. If you restart, Logos will download metadata updates and then you should be able to use APA, Turabian, or any other style with the Perseus resources. As of now, we are not aware of any other resources that are affected.
We are still planning a code fix as well to ship with 6.0 SR-1.

This crash should be fixed in 6.0 SR-1 [:)]

To test this, I changed my citation style back to APA this morning and, just as Tom said, I have not experienced any crashes today while scrolling through the resource list.
I have to say that, besides loving Logos and its functionality for my ministry, I appreciate you all and your hard work in a release week to support those of us who use this program daily. I know this week will probably mean long hours, frustration and fatigue. We appreciate you and the fruit of your labor!
Thanks,
-greg
