Cross-grade (extended)

Hi, I have been a Logos, Libronix and LLS supporter basically from day one and have spent over the years more than $9,500 American which has cost me more here in Canada. This latest cross-grade (extended) just cost me another $243.72 just to get the cross grade. After I down loaded it and set things up it is not worth the money so far, very disappointed. I thought we would be getting huge changes like we did from Logos 4 to logos 5, it is a little better but not hugely so, some of the so-called up grades were ones we already had they just made them better we should have got these for free.
When I bought my software there was no Vyrso, Biblia, Proclaim or Faithlife, just good software that did not try to bleed every penny I have out of me. It seems that every time I go and open up Logos there is some new deal, even my home page I had to whittle down because of all the offers that continually get sent. When I use the sermon starter guide for example I get a heading ‘bookstore’ with more books to buy. I just feel like I am being totally marketed to. Yes I know we live in free countries and all that but I have already paid for this product I did not pay for advertising to be sent to me… but I digress…
Now in Logos 6 in my side bar I have a huge gap because they have taken away my library preview and  Courseware. (yes these things are on the home page) but the choices they give to fill it up are things I do not use.
I feel like this company is getting more like Apple and every 2 years or so they…

Please remember it has been close to twenty years and counting for me as a fan and user of Logos.

If you don't feel there's value in the L6 additions, then you can of course return your crossgrade. Personally, I found the upgrade from L5 to L6 even bigger than L4 to L5.

Also, if you're tying to keep your total spend as low as possible, whilst getting all the L6 features, you'd have been better off with the feature crossgrade, rather than than extended crossgrade.

But before you return anything, make sure you watch the videos that will help you get the most from the new features: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLXkjd_l1xkSQ5fM605M-F5xikKNGBdPvj

Pastor ... look on the  bright side.  If you call in a refund, you end up with the Logos6 engine, plus explored the updated features as well (instead of just wondered, etc).

I think 'new' is often a behavior. I look back on the Logos4 intro and still see a significant improvement (and I'm a Libronix user even now). Logos5, I'm still looking for usefulness but the crossgrade was cheap and the engine was faster than Logos4.  Maybe the sense lexicon will pan out.

Logos6?  I agree ... a lot looks like either cleaned up Logos4 features, some in-house research stuff (much of which simply replaces pre-existing resources), and some this and that.

I'll probably pick up the crossgrade features (after my owlish spouse heads over to Japan and I have cellular to myself).  The only reason is the work done by Rick (he does a lot of manuscript-y stuff at Logos). The other cutsie is fine for marketing to new buyers.
