Bug: Factbook to Atlas Crash
When I am in Factbook/Galilee and click on any of the three pictures under "a region in north Israel, west of the Sea of Galilee" it freezes Logos 6 and closes. Here is the log file the "report a problem" had me make.

Thanks for reporting this, I've filed a bug report and will investigate this further. Out of curiosity, is this something you've been able to reproduce or was it a one time crash? The logs suggest that mouse movement was involved - did you happen to click/move your mouse when the atlas panel opened, or did it crash without any user interaction other than clicking on the maps from the factbook?

I was able to replicate all four times I tried it. When I clicked on Galilee from Factbook it went to the atlas and then froze. When I put the mouse over it to "double check" it wasn't working it would crash it completely.

Yes my system was finished indexing.

If possible, could you post a screenshot of what the atlas panel looks like when it's frozen (before you put your mouse over it and it crashes)? Thanks!

Ok I have reconstructed a step by step of what I have done with pictures. First picture is my layout before I start clicking on anything to make it crash. Second picture is after I clicked on Galilee in Explorer. Third picture is after I clicked on the first picture under Galilee. Fourth picture is after I clicked on the atlas. Fifth picture is Logos 6 opened up after the crash.

Hi Landon,
Thank you for taking the time to document all the steps and sorry for any inconvenience this is causing you. It looks like something is going wrong in the middle of map loading, as the title of the new map is showing up but the images for the old map remain.
Do you have diagnostic logging enabled? If not, can you enable it, reproduce the crash and post the new log files? I hope that is not too much trouble.
EDIT: I thought I should clarify - it seems that the Logos.log file you posted (starting at 11:43:55) appears to be after the crash (which happened at 11:43:24), it would be great to get a log file which was created during the instance of the program when it crashes.

It's my pleasure to help out in any way I can. I understand that these things happen with new programs. Here is the log. If I did it wrong let me know.

Thanks for the new log files! There are a number of atlas bugfixes in the just released Service Release 2, so it should be worth updating and seeing if it fixes the problem, but no guarantee as I haven't been able to reproduce the crash and also didn't manage to look at the new logs before SR2 was built.
If the issue still arises on SR2, let me know and there are a few steps I'd like for you to try if you're willing.

Ok I updated and made sure indexing was completed. I tried to recreate the crash. What happens now is that it doesn't change the "atlas picture" like before still, however clicking the mouse on it does not crash it either. It simply puts the hand on it but does not move the picture around. However I can now click on the side bar to the left to a different location and back to the desired location. I will try and make a video of. Do you still want a log if it didn't crash it just froze the picture?

I made a recording but could not upload the video so I put it on youtube. Here is the link..

I will delete it as soon as you have seen it. It is unlisted so it will not be publicly visible.

Hi Landon, thank you for the very helpful video - I finally managed to reproduce the problem after exactly following the steps you did in the video with your layout. I'll look into what's causing the problem and get back to you.

This bug should be fixed in SR4 (not SR3) which will likely be going out early next week. The issue was with loading maps into a Atlas tab which was in the background (not visible).
While waiting for that, as a temporary fix, besides not having atlas in a background tab, you can also switch to a different map and back.
Thanks so much for your help and patience!
