One theme in the rollout of L6 has been the problems with which resources were advertised in a base package / level, the datasets that were advertised, whether what Faithlife intended to be in a package was actually delivered to those who bought that package, etc. A lot of the source of these problems were errors on the web site. The threads in this forum and the web site forum attest to all the different problems there were. I think Faithlife has responded admirably in explaining what happened and trying to make things right.
Nevertheless, there's really no good way for me as a customer to reconcile the resources I've received with the resources I was implicitly promised when I purchased my upgrade package. "New to you" wasn't working for the majority of the base package families. Even if it were, there was no way to export that list in a fashion by which I could later reconcile what I received with what I expected to receive. And even if *that* had been possible, it would still be very challenging, time-consuming, tedious, and error prone to try to reconcile that list with what showed up in our libraries.
Faithlife has all the information needed to do such a reconciliation: the package and level purchased (Reformed Diamond in my case); the resources that are included in that package / level; and the resources which have actually been licensed to me. It would be great if Faithlife went ahead and did such a reconciliation for customers, either in bulk for all L6 upgrades after the dust has settled a bit more or on-demand. A straightforward report (spreadsheet?) would convey this information. For extra credit, the report could include the order # / date of the purchase for the resource in question. This would clarify what was truly new as part of the L6 upgrade and what the customer previously owned. An additional challenge for Faithlife, addressed in other threads, is the case where resources were incorrectly advertised as being a part of a package and customers purchased based on that.
Hope that makes sense. I'd find this very valuable. My $.02 ...
