BUG? Factbook
Upon opening Factbook proceeds to rebuild whatever was the last item I looked up. In contrast the Topic Guide enters what I last looked up in the topic field but waits for me to hit enter before running. Please make Factbook function like Topic Guide in this case.

That behavior is "by design" currently because like Wikipedia or an encyclopedia resource, we don't want users to see nothing when they open Factbook. I'll create a case to see if we want to revisit this decision though.

I agree I would like to see a blank start as well when opening a new Factbook search. Wikipedia somewhat makes sense in a way because you can think of it as an always active browser.
