I added a few resources to my 1.2.2 and synced the Licenses. I tried to execute an "Update Now" command and I got the following sync error message which prevents the books from being downloaded from the server to L4.

Joe,
We think there is a bug in "Update resources" and "Update Now" in all current alpha that could cause these commands to sometimes not work. It's a multi-threading bug that we think we've solved, but it won't be out until A12. One other option is to try "Set Automatically Download Updates to Yes" which should force an immediate download.
The sync error you report is unrelated, and is simply a net connection timeout (100 seconds = 1m 40 seconds).
I can confirm this worked for me.
Ah, glad you pinpointed the bug. I did not want to try and workarounds until you had the chance to investigate. Now that it is a known bug, I will follow you suggestion. Blessings.
Perfect, in about 20 seconds it downloaded my books. Sweet!
could someone perhaps help me with this? I am having the exact same issue. I am sure I am missing something because at least in my A11 program settings/preferences shows as being unavailable so I cannot set the preference to download automatically, and when I copied the "Set automatically download updates to Yes" in the command field nothing happened. Any suggestions?
Program settings pane has not been implemented yet. As for copying it into the command bar, you have to hold your mouth just right. First off, don't just copy it in and hit enter. You need to copy it in, and the let the drop down box populate until you see the command listed under tools. Then click on it. Then wait. Sometimes it will take up to 5 minutes before it downloads anything.

you have to hold your mouth just rightI think you meant "mouse"... LOL
Not if he is from the South Eastern US [H] Down here, you have to "hold your mouth just right" to accomplish all kinds of things. I have no idea where that expression originated, but I remember hearing it from my Mother and others of her generation. I think it means that you have to be extra careful in placement.
Having said all that, I have no idea if that is what Terry had in mind, but I saw an opportunity to teach you foreigners (i.e., non Southerners) some Southern Culture.

Y'all don't have that expression up here? I'm a Texas native and I've heard that all my life. It can also be embellished with "(stand | hop) on one foot, hold your mouth just right and ..." Guess I just learned something new too.

You need Foxworthy to give you some ed-u-ma-cation. Of course, there is probably not enough sun in Washington to get a red neck if you tried.
