I just tried opening a book I created in Logos 5 - and Logos says I don't have a license for it.
Is this a known problem?
Were you opening it on the same computer that you compiled it on?
David, it looks like you might be experiencing the same problem described in this thread: https://community.logos.com/forums/t/79797.aspx
If you're running Logos 6 on a new computer, not the one that you had Logos 5 installed on, you will need to rebuild the book from the original .docx file. (I hope you saved it if you got rid of the old computer.)
In Logos 6, they've introduced syncing of personal books, but that was not available in Logos 5, so you used to have to manually copy the source files and rebuild on each machine. Thus any PBs you created in Logos 5 will need to be rebuilt in Logos 6.
It's always a good idea to back up your .docx source files anyway and keep them with you when you upgrade to a new computer, in case you ever want to edit the book to fix a typo or something. You would need to rebuild the book from the source files in that case.
This is the same computer 5 was installed on.
Also, I clicked on the "rebuild" file (but didn't start from scratch) - so I assume it has access to the original.
I never get rid of those kinds of files - they are residing exactly where they were when I first created them. I'm fairly sure I opened this book on this computer in 5.
Now that's interesting. Logos just installed an update - and my PB was open when I restarted Logos.
Glad to hear it!
