Scrolling in Library is too slow in L6

Maybe it's just me, but it didn't seem to be this slow in L5.
BTW, this is on Windows 7. On a quite fast machine. See my machine specs in my signature line below.

Windows L6: When Library view is by Type, scrolling is terrible and not smooth at all. [:@]
I think this applies to the Mac version as well, but I'll have to check.
Update: On Mac, the Library works much better. Then again, I am not using a mouse on my Mac. The problem of mouse scrolling occurs on Windows L6.

It does not matter which or how many fields are showing. It does not matter if you use the scroll bar small change or large change. The pause happens exactly at every page forward or backward. If I unlock the scroll wheel on my mouse and give it a go, it scrolls perfectly as expected through hundreds or resources with no pause. Something is occurring at every scroll event and key event when a page worth of resources is advanced up or down that is causing the pause.

Thanks, Randy. That's exactly the kind of helpful information that should provide some clues to track down what's happening.

Dragging in the scroll bar of 6.0b Beta 2 was unbearable but has improved in Beta 3 to be on a par with 6.0a! It was much faster in the 6.0 beta which used a different method for drawing the screen, but that probably caused the reported issues with missing metadata and screen drawing has since been slowed by seemingly filling every resource line with metadata irrespective of the length of the scroll.
Mouse scrolling is smoother/more bearable than dragging. I didn't 'unlock' the mouse to scroll a screen at a time as 4 lines seems sufficient.

This should be vastly improved in 6.0b, which just shipped to the stable channel. [:)]
