Hebrew vowel points and fonts
BWS and vowel points
I'm noticing that the vowel points are not showing for Hebrew in the Bible Word Study (BWS). This is the same behavior as in L3, but I do wish there was a way to display them. I find words without vowels very hard to read. Try reading this: I fnd wrds wtht vwls vry hrd t rd.
Exegetical Guide and vowel points
The exegetical guide used to show Hebrew vowel points in L3. Now in L4 is does sometimes. Take a look at the screen shot below. The initial entry "title bar" has the vowel points, but then the detail section has removed them. Why? Can this be fixed?
The Masoretic text does of course have the vowel points, and so do the Lexical entries, so why remove them? Since some Hebrew words with different meanings are identical with the vowel points removed, clicking on a word here to open up the BWS could lead to hits for the wrong word.
Is there a way to have Logos not omit vowel points, or is this a feature request?
Information Window and vowel points
The information window is somewhat of a mystery to me. Notice in
this snap shot below how the top entry gives the vowel points, but on
the bottom it does not. In other words, the word נֶפֶשׁ
had vowel points (just like it does in the DBL
entry) while the word נחה does not
(in the DBL entry it is נָחָה
) .
Note also that L3 seems to exhibit this same behavior.
Information Window and copying text
While I am at it, in L3 it was possible to copy individual words in the info window. Now in L4 I can only copy the entire entry in the info window which is kind of a pain.
More important however is that in L3 that copied text would retain the correct fonts, so that for example Hebrew would be in SBL Hebrew, and Greek would be in Gentium. Now in L4 the Hebrew is Tahoma and the Greek is Times-Roman, meaning it is copying it incorrectly. Is there a way to fix that? Is this a bug?
