Print display BUG in RC2
I print out chapters of a Bible for a Bible study at the local jail, I print them one chapter at a time until we are done - these copies used by the inmates.
I always make the chapters 1 page, front and back, to minimize paper and complexity of handouts, so I adjust the text size of the open Bible by moving the slider.
But with the current beta, moving the slider and changing the text size doesn't change the size of the text to print at all! The preview page for Print/Export shows the length/number of pages/what is on each page the same no matter what size font has been chosen in the slider.
Can this be fixed? It renders printing much more difficult for me with this feature removed. Thanks!

I am able to reproduce this on Mac and Windows in 6.0a SR-5 and 6.0b RC2.
I will create a case to get this fixed. [:)]

This bug still exists in beta 3.

This bug still exists in beta 4. FYI, this really makes printing concise printouts of a chapter of the Bible more time consuming.

We still have an active case for this in Development.
Once the issue is fixed, we will reply this thread. Thank you [:)]0 -
I hope it's soon! I would hope this takes priority over new features. This affects people using the product.

Any updates on the progress of this? I would really like to be able to print text in a readable font size too. Seems like a very basic and much-used function. I hope it is high on the priority list as well.

The bug still shows itself in the latest beta, beta 6 of 6.1. It has not yet been fixed.

If you're going to fix this, it would be much better if the slider within the print/export dialog box change the size of the printed text. At the moment, it changes the size of the interface which should be the domain of program scaling, not zoom.
Under the old system, you had to keep leaving print/export to play with the resource slider, then go back it and see if it was correct. Then when you were done, you had to put the resource slider back to default.
Being able to adjust print size within print/export would be a much better system (although anything's better than nothing).

That's a great suggestion Mark! While we are at it, it seems these days most programs support number of copies, and front/back printing (if supported), in addition to what Logos currently supports. I shouldn't have to go into my printer's properties box, which is an entirely different (and varied) user experience), that few if any other software programs require, just to change typical settings.
But I digress - I would be so happy if I could just size what printed like the old days!

The Printer Propeties box is essential for proper setup and is the one constant amongst programs that offer different ways to accomplish two-sided printing. MS Office 2013 offers me a choice of flipping the long edge or the short edge, but Word curiously also offers a Manual option. Well, that was far more confusing than the Printer property for two-sided! But Logos could offer to print All pages, Odd pages or Even pages as that is a Manual option, and you have to decide how to flip the pages for the other side.

I have implemented a fix for this that will ship in a future release. This thread will be updated when that happens. Thanks!

This should be fixed in 6.2 Beta 1.
