HP Pavilion X2 tablet with 32GB internal storage and Logos 6
I have an un-opened 32GB tablet here with Win 8.1. Got a nice deal on it but may take it back if I just cannot run Logos 6 on it. I know I will have to add at least a 64GB (may go for 128) fast SD card. Will that really help? I found a couple posts but the one about 32 storage and Logos 5 made it sound OK while one with Logos 6 on 32GB mentioned multi day long indexing.
Also, do I install all of Logos 6 on the SD card or does the app go on the build in storage and then I point to SD card for the library downloads? How do I do either?

Logos 6 on a 64 GB SD card is preferable but ensure your Logos folder (..\Logos or ...\Logos5 on PC) is not larger than 48 GB.
Also use Quick Method 2 to install without downloading and without indexing (use Custom option and point to the SD card drive as the installation folder)

Dave shared from experience. Use Quick Method 2, don't attempt indexing an installation on a microSDXC card.
I could't confirm your specific hardware - made a quick search and found too many variations of the HP Pavilion X2. It seemed as though all have a full size USB port, maybe USB 3 (I saw blue).
Card readers can be fickle and are often USB 2 attached even when built-in. If you try installing on this tablet and have trouble with it's card reader consider using a discrete low profile USB attached flash drive or reader before throwing in the towel.
I've been using Logos 5 installed to an USB 2 attached microSDXC with satisfaction.

http://store.hp.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/us/en/pdp/Laptops/hp-pavilion-x2-pc---10-k010nr-k3n12ua-aba is the tablet. It does appear to have micro SD and USB slots.
Not sure I understand how Method 2 ends up not doing any indexing? I get that it avoids downloading the whole library.
Thanks for the replies

I think this is the spec sheet for your device: http://shopping.hp.com/shopping/pdf/k3n12ua.pdf
It seems to have a full-size SD card slot and a standard size USB 2 port. My guess is that the SD reader is USB 2 attached.
Quick Method 2 copies an existing already indexed installation, including the indexes.

I understand now. I take it I will not want to do a manual rebuild of the index if the library is on the SD card or is it just an initial index that is bad on SD?

Personally I make it a habit not to index on the card, though I have occasionally when I've been certain it would be trivial.

Avoid full indexing. Set Automatically Download Updates to NO and only download if the size is smaller than 500 MB for example (software updates are roughly 100 MB).

Thanks for the replies. I have a new twist. Was back in the Office Depot (store closing sale) and found they had one SSD left. Picked up a 120GB Kingston and a drive case for $55. Would this do better for handling the library for Logos 6 or should I stick with the SD card (have not bought one yet)? I am pretty sure the tablet is only USB 2.0.

Give it a go as you have got it.
Class 10 SD normal is up to 48 MB/s transfer speed. But slow on indexing
USB 2.0 is up to 60 MB/s transfer speed and the SSD will index much faster!
Disadvantage - you lose the USB port for other devices.
