BUG: Text Comparison

Text comparison works fine if I select "Top Bibles." But I want it to compare all the Bible translations I have. The only way I know to do this is to painstakingly go through my list adding each one. Ok. But when I do so, it starts to load all the translations and then when it gets to the bottom of the page it stops and starts over. Endlessly. So it's looping so bad that I can't even go in and edit the search. And there's no option to stop the search so I'm at an impasse.

How do I make this feature work for me?

I'm on Logos 6.0.2.0042.

I suggest you create a Collection of all your Bibles - using the matching rule "type:bible" (for more details on Collections see https://wiki.logos.com/Collections 

Then you can use the Collection name in the Text Comparison window as below

I suggest you limit the comparison to a single verse until you see how it goes as it could be quite intensive on your system depending on how many Bibles you have.

Thanks Graham. That certainly makes it easier. However, the initial bug is still present. When I use the collection I created (All English Bibles) in Text Comparison, it goes into the same infinite loop. Any ideas?

I'm on Logos 6.0.2.0042.

I have tried this on the same version of Logos on OS X 10.10.1 and on the 6.1b with 10.10.2 and have not run into these problems.

It looks like it is time to submit some logs for the more technically minded to pursue?

Running Logos 8 latest beta version on Win 10

This is a rare bug that can occur when the Text Comparison panel is a certain size. Try dragging it into the main window, or opening it in a floating window. Does this work around the issue?

This is a rare bug that can occur when the Text Comparison panel is a certain size.

6.5 is now available on the stable channel and it includes this fix.
