Overview

In this lecture, Lake provides a condensed history of how humanity has regarded the condition of the soul. He discusses ideas of eternal life, mysticism, individuality, reality, pleasure, and hope for resurrection. Most of his exposition focuses on nineteenth-century views. He covers the material vs. the spiritual and the good of the individual vs. the good of society.

Hovering over Scripture references links you instantly to the verse you’re looking for, and with Passage Guides, Word Studies, and a wealth of other tools from Logos, you can delve into God’s Word like never before!
