Digital Logos Edition
"Is my Bible really the Word of God? Do I have what God gave to His penman? Can I really have God's Word in my language?" These questions are answered in Ambassador Studies on the Bible Collection (2 vols.), through essays written by dozens of biblical scholars and theologians, including John K. Hutcheson, Sr., Mark Minnick, Hantz Bernard, Randolph Shaylor, John Ashbrook, and many more. This compilation of writings looks at the history of the Bible in America, analyzes various Bible translations, and discusses the reliability of English versions of the Scriptures. Anyone who has felt concern over or interest in the history and accuracy of English Bible translations will greatly benefit from the two volumes contained with this collection—whether teacher, professor, student, pastor, or laity.
Valuable history of well-known preachers and evangelists, starting in 340 AD and continuing to the present day, is included in these volumes. In addition, the question of what the Bible itself says about its preservation is addressed, and the history of the English Bible from the King James Version to the present is given. Ambassador Studies on the Bible Collection (2 vols.) is the perfect addition to your library, in digital format. With Logos, you can instantly retrieve hundreds of search results, just by clicking a mouse!
In this follow-up book to the landmark From the Mind of God to the Mind of Man, the Text and Translation Committee discusses the historical preservation of the Word of God. The solid facts of the process by which the Bible has come to its present form are explained in detail. The book includes textual criticism of the existing manuscripts and autographs, including the Textus Receptus, the Majority, Eclectic, and Minority texts, and the Masoretic Text. It also provides needed answers to the arguments of those who adhere to extreme or exclusive positions. This book is excellent for pastors, teachers, and laypersons alike.
LIke a clean-edged sword, God's Word in Our Hands cuts through the current confused and schismatic clatter on the subject of biblical preservation. These conservative and God-fearing authors do the Church great service by presenting us with soul-thrilling evidence of the reliability and durability of the eternal Word.

The current controversy over the Bible's text and translations is creating confusing division within the ranks of Fundamentalism. A mass of misinformation fuels the debate. Scores of people realize the enormous errors being popularized but hesitate to engender further debate by speaking out. The confusion, however, is now so pervasive within Fundamentalism that the true, biblical, and historical facts on the text, transmission and translations of the Scripture must be restated in layman's terms. These facts argue eloquently for the unity, not the division of God's people on these issues.
It is fair to say no one should consider himself informed on the translation issue unless he has at least read this book.
