Upgrade vs Crossgrade
Logos Base Packages allows you to Upgrade to Logos 6 if you are already the owner of a Logos base package. They will give you new resources plus new features and datasets according to your needs and budget.
The Logos 6 Crossgrades comprise some or all of the features and datasets of Logos 6, together with a basic set of resources that they need. In that sense it is an upgrade focusing on features and datasets. The Feature Crossgrade provides all the features and datasets but the cheaper Core Crossgrade provides the essential features and datasets. The Extended Crossgrade provides additional resources to the Feature Crossgrade.
Verbum users have Verbum base packages and similar Core and Feature Crossgrades.
There are other denominational base packages for Anglican, Baptist, Lutheran, Pentecostal / Charismatic, Reformed and SDA.
Finally, there are two Special Interest packages. Biblical Languages offers comprehensive original-language study to members of the Faithlife Academic Program, and the Chaplain’s Library provides resources on grief counseling, trauma, discipleship, and leadership with tools to craft encouraging messages.
Considerations
Logos 6 needs Windows 7 SP1, Apple OS X 10.9 or higher.
The base packages and crossgrades will give you a discount for titles/features you already own so that you will pay only for titles/features that are “New to you”. Note that the discount will be relative to the price structure of the package so it cannot be the same as the price you paid if purchased as individual items (or even a collection).
If you want to upgrade to Biblical Languages (e.g. from L4 Original Languages) or combine it with a base package contact the Sales department.
If you already own a Logos base package then you can:-
- upgrade to a Logos 6 base package, or a denominational package; OR
- purchase a Crossgrade.
If you have never owned a Logos base package:-
- you can choose any base package, or a special interest package; OR
- you can choose a Crossgrade.
Either way, you can purchase a base package and a Crossgrade if you want more features than the package; and you can also combine a Logos 6 base package with one or more denominational packages if you want additional resources. Note that the Gold package, or Verbum Master, has all the features and datasets, and remember that you don’t pay for titles/features that you already own.
Finally, you can choose the free Core Engine to use with your current Library.

what you can expect from the free Core Engine with your current Library.
Y = available / should work with any Library in core engine
Blank = will work in core engine but results depend on your existing resources/datasets
L6 = requires a Logos 6 package or crossgrade
Pkg = requires a previous package or crossgrade

depr = deprecated (not available unless you had it from a previous version)
Note: if you already have any of these features they will still be available in Logos 6.
