• TIP of the day - from the blogs: Quotations on Bible Study

    from the Bible Researcher site:
Quotations on Bible Study Ignorance of Scripture is ignorance of Christ. —Jerome, A.D. 340-420 Hear, O Israel: the Lord our God is one Lord : and thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be...

  • Re: Reverse interlinear alignment question in John 18:37

Hi Graham, At first glance I agreed with you and was going to voice my agreement. However, it may be more a little more complex. I think I have identified part of the reason for the error. Some ancient manuscripts include ἐγὼ twice and so do older Greek NTs (including the Textus Receptus). More recent ones have assumed it is an example of scribal...

There is with a bit of work but I think it is defined at too detail a level to be useful. I don't know of any coding for both OT and NT but for the OT you can: Open Andersen Forbes select a bit of narrative open context menu select genre select search this resource Or for the NT: Open LEB etc. etc. ... Acts would be separate; OT uses prose which is...

" Jack I'm unable to reproduce this, could you post the Personal Book you are using?" This failure is not resource specific, and it has not been predictable thus far.
Jack, it's possible that sometimes the personal book is in the middle of being indexed when you try to rebuild it. Next time this happens, can you check to see if the indexer is running when you get the error?
Interesting possibility. I will check next time.
When editing the docx document and rebuilding a personal book, this error will occur after 2-4 Build Book commands without a restart of Logos. This appears to be a regression, but not as bad as the original bug. For me, the quickest way to clear the error is to restart Logos. These logs are from three failures earlier this...

Warning - Catholics may think that Centering Prayer is only of one form or type, and is always acceptable and keeping with the Catholic (or even Christian) faith. Just to be clear, both statements are false. During the 70s and 80s there were a growing number of well-intentioned Catholics who began to explore the integration of non-Christian Eastern...

  • TIP of the day: Dogmatic interpretation

First some definitions: So for casual purposes we can say that on a continuum of certainty belief is less certain than doctrine is less certain than dogma. Theology covers all three but dogma is concentrated in documents such as the Confessions and Creeds while Catechisms are a bit broader covering communal beliefs through dogma. 1. Dogmatic interpretation...

There are fatal errors whilst syncing Clippings, so that explains what you observe. But there are numerous mismatch errors with Notes (apparently not fatal for syncing) so I would recommend you contact Tech Support who can better handle the issues with your databases.
