Is this a beta option? I don't see that button to change the context when I do an inline search in non-Bible books.
Not all resources have the "Sentence" context option available; generally, it's only in those rebuilt after (approx) Sep-Oct 2014.

  • How do I make a shortcut for the Logos Indexer

I'm using Object Dock and mostly have no use for the Windows taskbar so I keep it turned off.One exception: I would like to be able to see when the Logos indexer runs while I have Logos closed to speed up the process. So I need to figure out the correct location of the indexer to see it running.
You can add context by changing the "Sentence" dropdown.
Is this a beta option? I don't see that button to change the context when I do an inline search in non-Bible book. I'm using Logos 6.2

  • Re: Why subscription
Well, I don't trust Bob. Never have. And for good reason. Bob tries to satisfy 'most' customers (contra his 'all' customers). And so does Walmart. Trusting Bob (absent a commitment) is irrelevant for a strategic issue ... the better issue is 'most customers'.
Denise, the way I see it, Bob = Faithlife = Logos. If you do...

I still can't provide a definite date for the accomplishment of this massive project; it's my highest priority collection. Shouldn't be too long (I know I said that six months ago!).
  • Re: Three Questions about Clippings

is there a way to carry over the full resource name as it appears at the top of the clipping
None that I'm aware of. I do edit my exported clippings for clarity, though.
Thank you, Dave! Seems curious to me the developers would think it's a good thing to take a nice clear title...

  • Re: [unresolved]why does the morphology chart think I want to see the NRSV twice?
I can reproduce what you are seeing by prioritizing a Septuagint above my Greek New Testaments. Can you double-check?
I have an English LXX with advanced priorities set higher but that has been true for several years, including when the feature was working correctly.
And yes, I understand that Developers need to eat too, having been one for a number of years.
Yes, but all they need is coffee and a vending machine no matter how long they've been up. At a certain point colored water can replace the vending machine coffee/hot chocolate - they won't notice. The real issue is that their...

Who the heck is coming up with this "resolved," "unresolved" labels? It's stupid. I noticed there are quite a few now that have that label.
I'm guessing it's a new system they're trying out in order to help the Faithlife/Logos staff to have a systematic way of knowing if they need to give more attention...

  • Re: To me these are bugs but some will consider them awkward User Interface issues

Thanks for the offer to suggest. At one point I was keeping a list but I stopped adding to it when I got so frustrated about things like the Cited By Tool an how search of Notes is such a third cousin, which I think might be on the queue somewhere to make usable. I think the real difference is software producers perception vs. user perception. No matter...
I was too lazy to formulate a question about it.
Me too (previously). I ended up just sucking it up and doing a "ctrl F" search for * on the base package pages that I own, and manually verifying which ones are already in my library. It actually didn't take as long as I'd thought, and surprisingly, most of the *...

Hi Thanks for replies. On opening L6 this time, there are no notifications except "Restart required" which is covered in your email, so no more downloads or indexing taking place. Will keep an eye on it and post again if the situation develops. Thanks Richard

  • Three Questions about Clippings

I'm just starting to create clippings documents and have three questions. (This is on a Windows implementation of Logos.) Is there any way to make highlights within the selected text from a resource carry over to the clipping file? Is there a way to highlight text within a clipping? (Not make it bold or italics, but actually highlight.) When exporting...

  • Re: Resources opening to the Left/Right Panel

This question comes up periodically. Short answer: There's broad consensus that the tiled layout we have in L4/5/6 is great, except that panel opening is kind of mysterious. We'd like to fix that, too, but it's much more complicated than it might first seem. Long answer: L2 and L3 were what's called a multi document interface, or MDI. An MDI is basically...
