  • Re: White screen of silence

Thank you Travis I thought that one of the recent updates had solved the problem as the video worked on a couple of production laptops (and personal computers), but it's still not working on the original presentation machine. It's just a video downloaded from Vimeo, so it's not like it's anything too exotic. I've uninstalled it and reinstalled Proclaim

  • White screen of silence

Proclaim says it supports half a dozen different video formats - MOV, MP4, WMV, AVI to name a few - yet every one we try results in a white screen. We've tried running them from the local computer, and uploading them to the server without success. Are there extra codecs that should be installed? What is the most reliable format to use? I've attached

  • Install failed

I've installed Proclaim on various computers without any problems, but when I try it on my netbook it fails. The download is successful, yet when it verifies the install I get an error message of "Application cannot be started. Contact the application vendor" In the Add/Remove programs list it says Proclaim, but there is no Remove button or any size

  • Adding extra messages to songs

We have an Offering Hymn, which includes a note at the top that says "As the offering is brought forward we stand and sing:" I've tried writing this in Verse 1, but obviously when I put a space between the note and the actual song lyrics it creates a new slide, so I had to put an underscore on the line in between, which is not perfect, but works. I

  • Re: Search for songs by CCL

Thanks. I was trying to search by entering the CCLI number into the CCLI box, rather than in the Song box. Works now.

  • Search for songs by CCL

Given that most of the songs we sing have a CCLI number, is it possible to search for songs using the CCLI number? There are some songs that don't appear in the library if not recognised, while the CCLI number is a pretty unique way of selecting the song.

Yep, I'm using Android (my iOS devices aren't new enough to run the Bible app ). So Apple users can see the reading at the start, Android start at the end, and the BlackBerry/Windows/Symbian can share with a friend? Makes sense.

  • Re: WRITING ON TOP OF IMAGE SLIDES

Don't think you can write on top of Image slides, though you could use a Content slide and change the background to be the image you wanted.

Hi Graham: First, I'm not adding a Bible Item but a Bible signal to an existing image slide. And secondly, when you add a Bible Item for a section of text - Mark 14: 43-52 for example - don't you need to put a start and finish? Hi Scott. Yes that is what I see when entering the Signal; the box is white and a valid Signal which appears on my phone as

  • Bible verses in Signals

I've used the Proclaim Bible slides, but instead the Church want to use a single slide with the verse on it and attach a Signal to it. So if we have Mark 14: 43-52 we have a Signal that takes people to that verse. But if I write that verse as a signal it takes me to Mark 14: 52, rather than Mark 14: 43, so should the Signal be written like the latter

By "Powerpoint (images)" I mean it's a Powerpoint OF images, not a Powerpoint saved AS images.

  • Splitting up content

Having set up the presentation during the week - music, content and a Powerpoint (images) - and sync'd it up with the computers on Sunday the minister then came up asking to add a video into the Powerpoint. We have a 46 slide Powerpoint, I don't have Powerpoint on computer or have the native Powerpoint (that is a big plus for Proclaim). I can't split

Thank you for the quick reply, and we'll keep trying different machines to see if it's our setup. I've also had reports of crashing issues when giving control of Powerpoints on machines running Office versions less than 2010...though as these only happen when they want to use them for presentations, so I haven't got crash reports for them. As for the

  • Better before we paid

When we started trialling Proclaim people in our church loved it; the Sunday morning church liked the fact it acted like Powerpoint, the Sunday school liked the fact they could integrate the calendars and how easy adding images is, and the evening youth ministry liked the fact it could play a wider variety of video formats. They each had a group, and

  • Re: Scripture signals

I've a similar issue with Signals: an image slideshow with six images in it, and I want to add a web address signal for each image. Yet when I run the presentation it shows each links six times rather than being able to attach the link to the picture. Does this mean that in order to add pictures we need to add an image slideshow per image to make Signals

  • Faithlife and Proclaim calendar connection

Given Faithlife and Proclaim share so much, would it be possible to import events from Faithlife into Signals in Proclaim? That is, when you create a Calendar Signal it gives you the option to copy the data you've already entered into Faithlife rather than duplicating them. I know that in order to see Signals you need a Faithlife account, but not all

  • Faithlife and Bible App comparison

We've been testing Proclaim for presentations for a while, utilising the Bible app on phones and tablets to pick up the Signals. Given you need a Faithlife login to access the Bible app I also downloaded the Faithlife app, which also gives you access to the Proclaim Signals, as well as foot notes and other community features that Bible doesn't. Is there

  • Re: Need DVD Integration

Has there been any movement on this update? Yesterday a speaker turned up with a disc just before the service started and we didn't have time to copy it. The operator played the disc from the computer using media player, we all heard the audio, but he hadn't dragged the screen across so no picture appeared. You'd have to select which chapter to play
