We do plan to continue growing our catalog of resources in the humanities (literature, philosophy, classics, etc.).
Could you elaborate on this sentence please? The Noet offerings were one of the things that brought me to Logos in the first place, and I while I'm happy I picked up most of the Loeb volumes

I would also like to see the complete Philokalia in Logos. And thank you for the link to the YouTube videos on the book, they're very good.
-
The link on the main page to the free book incorrectly points to the $9.99 book, and adds the latter to your cart. While waiting for Faithlife to fix the link, you can add the free book to your shopping cart by choosing it on the sidebar as Puddin' notes.

Can someone explain to me where people are getting three classic books per month? When I look at fhe Faithlife connect plans, I'm only seeing one free book per month in the first two tiers and two at the top tier. Thanks!

Thank you very much for taking the time to make this, Fred! It looks like just what I need, I'll give it a shot and report back.
-
Yes, perhaps. I thought there must be a basic way to point to Logos books within our notes, thereby creating our own links between books. There must be a simpler way to do this, I just haven't figured it out yet.
-
I'm trying to add my own links to a Logos book that doesn't link to another Logos book in my library. What is the best way to create a link? Say for instance I have a reference to Homer's Iliad, Book 4, verse 29. I have tried adding a "Note", with a Logos L4 link in the body of the note, but this won't let me hover over the link and click through to

I recently bought a very interesting book entitled " The Sculptor and his Stone: Selected readings on Hellenistic and Christian Learning and Thought in the Early Greek Fathers ". Unfortunately I noticed that the formatting on the footnotes is slightly problematic, it would appear that there is a formatting error that keeps the footnotes from appearing

I haven't noticed that the tagging is particularly better or worse in either. As far as I can tell, they have identical tagging, unless words are spelled differently in a version. The Perseus texts, however, always seem to have the negative written as "ουʼ" instead of "οὐ" for some reason, I'm not sure why..
-
In general, the Loebs are better formatted and include the short introductory material, indexes and maps that the Perseus volumes leave out. Keep in mind however, that the Perseus texts are based on the same out-of-copyrigh Loeb editions. There is a lot of overlap, so if you just want the text and don't want to spend money on the extra material, the
How do you know that that one is done by a human? Do you infer that from the quality of the tagging?
I seem to remember the project description talking about how this text was made, but it's true that now it's not clear that this text was edited "by hand" by someone. Below is from the introduction by John J. Jackson

I'm going to buy: The Sculptor and His Stone: Selected Readings on Hellenistic and Christian Learning and Thought in the Early Greek Fathers No need to buy all of them. :)
-
Agreed, please bring it back! :)

They are available in certain base packages. For example in the Orthodox Gold and above. I almost bought gold for that reason, but I've decided to stick with Silver and just get the pre-pub price ($90).
-
Only 4 have been released at this time - apparently only to those getting it via package.
Interesting. Were you only supposed to get only the first four volumes as part of your base package, or all 18?
-
No problem guys, I'm happy you have them! :)
-
I've been meaning to suggest this for a long time now, thank you for bringing it up, thank you! Right click > "View image" > opens up the default image viewer on the computer/mobile device. That would be fantastic.
-
It would be nice if someone from Faithlife could speak to this.
It would also be great if they could process the community pricing order so the rest of us could get access to the resource! :)

I can't help feeling that Logos 8, on the whole, has been a letdown. I'm sure a lot of work went into it, but I miss a bunch of basic things that I hope will make their way back to Logos 8. The workflows and Canvas seem useless to me. Here are mine: 1. The Homepage no longer shows excerpts from my resources. I greatly prefer the old homepage layout

I seem to remember being able to use the Up and Down arrows in a resource to move between highlights and/or notes, in addition the "Article" and "Reference" options available in the current drop box in Logos 8. Am I remembering wrong? I found it very helpful to walk through my highlights of a given resource by simply clicking the "Down" arrow. Could
