• Re: Logos 8 / NKJV - LORD vs Lord in OT.

That did it! Thank you! I don't recall ever changing that setting, but maybe I did on accident. Good to know.

  • Logos 8 / NKJV - LORD vs Lord in OT.

In Logos 8, my NKJV refuses to put LORD (Jehovah) in caps so I can not distinguish between it and Adonai. My KJV is just fine though. Anyone have this issue? I don't recall seeing this in Logos 7.

  • Re: I own a Windows tablet and would like a better Logos app for it

Given the amount of buzz and interest in Win10 devices after yesterday's event by Microsoft (Surface Book, Surface Pro 4, etc.) it seems a shame that Logos is still not interested in the platform. Oh well - I refuse to buy Logos 6 until this happens. I have three Windows devices where I would like the ability to read my Logos books like ... books in

  • Re: Windows Store App (Bible!) Library org

I have also gone to the Surface Pro 3 - and the lack of Windows support for what is arguably the best study device out there is a little amazing and disheartening. I have put my plans to upgrade to Logos 6 on hold as I survey what my options are. Windows 10 is shaping up quite nicely, and I only have two Macs left at home, with no plans to upgrade them

Appreciate that. But first not interested right now in a full time position or relocation to Washington atm :). But if you want to farm out work I have a healthy contracting business for a variety of folks. But right now mostly interested in Win phone development, though I could be persuaded to work on other stuff ;) If I'm ever in the area I'd love

So I just bought a Lumia 1520, awesome phone. Unfortunately, no Logos still. Hopefully with the Windows unification scheme, having a Windows version of the app will become a reality soon. Otherwise, I have C# experience ..., you guys can always subcontract development to me :)

  • Re: Windows phone 8 app

I too am evaluating ditching iOS for Windows Phone 8.1. I just bought a Surface Pro 3, and would love to just get onto the Windows ecosystem again. I am finding that I enjoy using Windows 8.1, and in particular the SP3. My family is probably going to transition to Surfaces and Dell Venue 8 Pro style machines for the next round of purchases, and while

  • Re: Microsoft Surface

I just upgraded from my Surface Pro 2... this thing ... is ... incredible. Ive had many devices, but none are as wonderful as the Surface Pro 3. I highly recommend it. That said, I want a better Logos reading experience. The Windows store app is really bad, and the full Logos 5 is not entirely optimal for reading. I hope that this device jumpstarts

  • Re: A Case for an Improved Windows Store App

I would also love a functional windows 8 app! I just purchased a Surface Pro 2. While running full L5 is incredible, I have to use my ipad for reading because the win8 app is terrible, and the L5 desktop app is clunky for reading. Just a few features needed for now! Offline reading and table of contents would be a great start!'' Edit: Oops, I didn't

  • Help! Every time I start Logos it duplicates my notes!

Hi all, When I start Logos4 for Mac, all of my notes are getting duplicated. My computers sit sync'ing for what seems like half an hour and I see little yellow squares duplicated all over my Bible. It takes a few minutes(!) now to open up my Notes. And when I do each Scripture line is duplicated probably 15-30 times! Has anyone run into this? What can

I like it -- it looks more like it belongs on the Mac rather than on Frumpy Windows!

  • Logos 4 works great on my Macbook Air!

I asked the forum how well Logos 4 works on the 11.6" Macbook Air (late 2010) - and I must say it works really well! I have Scholar's Platinum + a bunch of other resources I've purchased over the last 2 years. I let it index overnight, and this morning it was ready to go. I ran the Passage Guide, Exegetical Guide, and they were fairly snappy. Not much

  • Anyone using Logos 4 on a 11.6" Macbook Air?

Hi all, I saw Kevin Purcell's video of L4 Mac running on a 13" Air - and that was great, but has anyone tried it on the 11.6" model? I'd be getting the 1.6Ghz / 4GB RAM/128GB SSD model for portability sakes. I already have an iPad (for reading) and a 27" i7 iMac (for heavy computing) but this would be the machine I take to Bible Studies, etc. to use

Yay! Cannot wait to download it when I get home :) Split Screen: AWESOME! Low light support! Fantastic! These are the major updates I've been waiting for. Way to go Team Logos!

  • Re: iPad Data Usage?
How much data is used while running a PG? I'd like to know this.
According to my testing methodology (fired up Logos, and then run a Passage Guide, then return to Safari and check my Mobile Hotspot's data usage. It seems like it takes roughly 80kb of data to run the Passage Guide (including starting up / signing

  • Re: IPAD

Really? Have you tried to run Logos 4 on a Netbook, and tried to use the Logos 4 UI for the PC with your finger? Imagine that dinky little interface manipulated with human hands. I cringe. All I know is that I love reading my Logos library on my iPad, and have not touched my laptop in a week since having it. And besides -- an iPad with a 3G connection

I have it! And it is way better than I expected. I really enjoy it. I feel bummed having to go back to using my MBP while my iPad charges / downloads some new apps.

I struggled with this at first too ... just put in your username and password. Then hit 'enter' (Or whatever Enter morphs into on the virtual keyboard for the password field) and it should sign you in. I thought it was strange, but it worked!

Hi Alain, There are certainly a few things to consider aren't there! I too was originally torn between a tablet like the Slate and something like the iPad. In the end, I chose iPad (full disclaimer: I have a reservation to pick one up tomorrow). Here are my concerns, specifically as they pertain to Logos running on a Slate like device. Logos 4 is hardly
