Hey, I qualify! I am a very bizarre person. But, you and MJ probably know that better than most here.

They do have a privacy statement, where they do the typical "We value your privacy..." But, still, Google and linkIn get all your information. At least, thats how I interpret all the yada yada yada statements

Thank you. So, the purpose is legit then, for captcha purposes? That's fair enough. As stated, some things are legit, but, to the average user, well, we don't know what the purposes are, and they may be innocent, and they may not be. I have a suspicion that anything dealing with Google, LinkIn or Facebook is less than innocent. Downright scary even

I believe the answer to both is no. But, I am not 100% positive.

So, WHY should they get automatic rights to me?
Do they? Does blacklight distinguish between sites that conditionally receive data and those that automatically receive data? There is a big difference. Second question: does lacklight

This is more of a bringing to light question. As I believe I mention in my original post, I have reviewed the privacy statement, and state that it does mention, at least somewhat, much of this. But, I do believe this is an area that should be extremely transparent by Logos, and really all webpages and sites.
I don't have

Oops. I keep seeing it as backlight, so I type it as such. I did a test on their page too. Of course, they claim nothing on their site. They say: You have scanned the website for The Markup, the nonprofit news organization that built the very tool you are using to scan our website. Howdy! You may have noticed that our website came up totally clean.

  • Privacy. Mr Pritchard Please

Everyone knows, or should know, that there is no such thing as privacy today. What I do not understand is WHY? We all know (or should know) Facebook and Google track us across the pages of the internet, with uncountable others snooping. Granted, most of this is probably more benign than not; but, the question remains: WHY? Why do WE allow all these

Benny, Take it from personal experience, One MUST use training if they are not going to be a bitter Logos user! I am not the poorest person on earth, by any stretch of the imagination; but, my income does qualify as below the poverty level. I struggle financially and find paying for training to be excessive and expensive and mind boggling. WHY pay
hahaha interesting! Sounds on par with those old BMG mailers that promised 12 free cd's if you purchased 2, and then you'd get 4 more. or something like that. Website sounds terrible!
website is the worst Ive run across, and hope I dont find one that beats it's record. lol BMG and Columbia. Man, I miss those days
Just curious, if this is the second worst, whats the worst?
I always hated most, if not all car websites. Car parts sites, anyway. But, the absolute worst, to date, is emusic. I love extended versions, remixes, club hits, along those lines-- in case you are unfamiliar with them, they originally started in the late

Now, when we hit back, it scrolls all the way back to the beginning!
No, it does not. It scrolls back to the top of the page, whether that is page one or page ten.
That would be affirmative. All the way back to the beginning of the previous page. The top; not to page 1 if I'm on page 37

  • Faithlife: Whats up with the search and website?

WHO on earth thinks this messy and sloppy new search is so good, never used it BEFORE shoving it at us! It's HORRIBLE, possibly the second worst search engine EVER! I'm trying to look up books, BUT, instead of a great search engine, it's even worse than before! A good search engine or website does NOT make you tick a box AND start all over! Stupidest
oof, that is a long wait batman. I have the same computer then as now, and I remember running speed tests comparing the two versions (7 and 8). The result was 8 was twice as fast I think. They have definitely improved in that area. Logos starts (with lots of collections, and resources, and visual filters, etc) in 5 seconds
Of all Bible software I have tried, Logos is the slowest to start. Despite various tricks that you can try (I do not have a large library). Someone here mentioned 20 seconds is pretty normal. This is what I'm also experiencing, so I don't think mine is unusually slow compared to others. Is it too much to ask to significantly

I hate to say this, but, then again, no I dont. When I first learned of Logos it was 3. I'm not wealthy. I was not wealthy then. Actually, I was less than a year from unemployment, of the devestating type, and making below poverty level income. I had been purchasing digital Bibles for several years, and ran into Logos and Bible Works. I asked if logos

Andrew, Thanks. finally almost done. yay!
It's doing things like syncing your documents and other data and retrieving metadata for resources. In a technical sense this is "downloading", but it's not downloading your books, so it's kept distinct.
Mike, Thanks. Oh, this was a complete nightmare. One would think I'd be used to things by now. Im actually going minimalist on install, because I have no doubts this Dell is a PoG and will be dying again, soon. I'm not sure if I hope it's before the year's warranty is up or if it dies after, when assurion takes over. Either way, I seriously doubt it
