• Re: Now possible to port Logos to ChromeOS
Unfortunately, it doesn't look like it works for apps that use native code, like ours do.
It looks like the Android-on-Chrome runtime works MUCH better than it used to work, but Dave's right, it appears they don't support C/C++ code in apps yet. When I last tried this, the app didn't even start up. Now

  • Re: Suggestion: option to disable Back button (Samsung phones)

I'd guess that Faithlife isn't going to change this...the back button is a standard Android control and users generally expect it to work consistently in all apps. Google discourages adding non-standard back button behavior because then users have to learn how the control works in each app they use. I know that's probably not the answer you're hoping
Now that the font size issue has been addressed, is Logos planning to add several choices of font styles in the near future? If so, is Verdana being considered? Should I submit this as a suggestion to the UserVoice site?
I'd guess UserVoice is the best route. It looks like there's already one suggestion for this (doesn

  • Re: Plea for Prayer Lists
Are you saying Android has prayer lists? Or the Faithlife app?
The "Faithlife Groups" app (available as a stable release on both iTunes and Google Play, not beta) includes basic web-only prayer list support. It's certainly not an ideal or finished solution, but that's all that's available right now (aside from viewing

  • Re: What happened to VoiceOver Support? PLEASE fix this!!
Personally I don't think voiceover is counter productive to selling audio books. I buy plenty of audio books when I get the chance. If anything I think it will give people the audiobook bug.
I agree. I'd MUCH rather have a quality, human-recorded audiobook instead of VoiceOver/Text-to-Speech. But when there's no
I've already given you at least one "deal breaker" preventing this from coming. Some publishers won't allow it. Open up any Zondervan title on your desktop app and try to use "read aloud."
Also, even if this were the case, there's no reason mobile can't use the same check that desktop does to see if "read aloud" can
I believe that Faithlife didn't know about the bug in the iOS app until I reported it on Sep 3, 2014 (based on the thread I linked to earlier in this thread and Kevin Byford's response).
I can confirm Faithlife didn't know about the bug until you reported it. I left the team shortly after that though, so I can't really
Why the new Android update require those new permissions?? Reasons??
I assume you're referring to the new account-related permissions? They're there to enable the new single sign on feature. If you install multiple Faithlife apps, after you sign in to the first one, you'll be offered the option to sign into the second one

  • Re: How do I get "notes" to default to "reference - on"?

Hey Bruce, I think there IS a way to get close to what you want. There are multiple ways to create a new note/highlight in the app. It sounds like what you're doing is highlighting some text and picking "Note" from the selection menu. I think the expected use case is that you don't want to attach the note to a reference when you create a note that way
Performance. Performance. Performance.
Performance is my number one wish. A close second: improvements to the quality of the Mac UI. The Logos UI design and attention to detail, especially on Mac, is not up to par (by a long shot!) with what I expect from an OS X application.

It sounds like this is a valid bug, so it would probably be helpful if you wrote it up a little more clearly
(That still doesn't explain why I could not deselect within the app...)
My guess: if you create a new note/highlight in a document that is turned off in the visual filters menu, that document will get turned back on automatically (the assumption being that you want to see the note/highlight you just created). Maybe
On mobile iOS , you can enter "rebuild index" (case sensitive, no quotes) in the Reference box at the top of the Home page.
Fix that for you. (the Android apps don't have an index, AFAIK)

  • Re: Is Mobile Access Up and Running or Still Down?

Noet might not have the reference field on the home page, since it's not a "Bible" app. I don't have my iPad handy to check. That would definitely make it hard to enter these "secret" commands on Noet though

  • Re: Reading Plans Disappearing from Home Screen
This is working as designed. If you are ahead on your reading plan there isn't a reason for the app to remind you of "today's reading" on the Home Page.
I was pretty sure this behavior was changed to always show the next reading on the home page, regardless of whether it was in the future or not. Has this been changed

  • Re: Documents not syncing between Logos Mac and iOS...
is there a reason the Bible app doesn't have prayer lists? I'm honestly curious.
I'm not a Logos employee, so don't take this as an "official" response, just my thoughts. Many companies are moving to a "multi-app" strategy (see Facebook , LinkedIn , etc) and breaking up mobile functionality into multiple, task-based apps.
