Hi Jim. You can incorporate it by making a personal book using the text. If you're not familiar with PB's, here's the wiki link on how to do it . Do make sure you comply with all applicable local copyright laws.

[If anyone thinks I have breached any copyright laws by posting this, do speak up so I can correct my error ] I came across this lengthy lecture manuscript by J.I. Packer on Penal Substitution and thought it might be a useful addition to my Logos library. Packer states the following as his aim for the lecture: " The task which I have set myself in this

I'm in the same boat as the OP and have found all the comments very helpful. Personally, I'm tempted to get the more expensive NICOT/NICNT resource now to maximise the Logos Christmas credit, and, when resources allow further down the line, I'd buy WBC from a third party retailer for $399 (unless Logos would price match - If they do price match, the

Thanks for sharing this Emile. That seems like a good offer!

Mark, thanks for the very helpful summary. I was wondering whether, if at some future point, I should upgrade from Platinum to Portfolio. However, your personal views confirmed my own suspicions that, for me personally at least, I'd be better adding those specific resources you mentioned to my library (which I'd had my eye on), than upgrading to the

*Bump* A few more timely bids could get this resource reduced from $40 to $30, however we can't hand around...

Morris Proctor suggested a similar list (I haven't compared them to each other): Scholar or Critical Analytical Bible Expositor Anchor Yale Bible Commentary Ancient Christian Commentary on Scripture Ariel’s Bible Commentary Baker Exegetical Commentary Catena Aurea: Commentary on the Four Gospels (Thomas Aquinas) Charles Hodge Commentary Classic Commentaries

Mark Barnes (on his training videos website) helpfully suggests the following "technical" commentaries when suggesting ways to tag your library: Technical Commentaries Anchor Yale Bible Apocrypha and Pseudepigrapha Commentaries (Charles) Baker Exegetical Commentary on the New Testament The Book of Isaiah (Young) Charles Ellicott Commentary Classic Commentaries

Why not consult some of the more scholarly commentaries to see what others suggest about the literary structure of this passage?

I'm a very happy user too. I do have the occasional crash, but thankfully it is an occasional occurrence. Since I was a newcomer to Logos on the Mac platform, I have no knowledge of what Logos 4 does on the Windows platform, thus feature parity is not an issue for me since I don't know what I'm missing. Since upgrading my MacBook Pro to 8GB of RAM and

The above posts have rightly pointed you to the Logos iOS app, which doesn't have the full functionality of Logos 4. I did see this thread on the general forum where users have posted some ideas on how to access the full Logos 4 application on their iPads.
I was thinking the same thing. $500 for 14 volumes = $35.72/volume @50% off = $17.86/volume x 4 volumes = $71.44. Sounds like I need not waste my time on a phone call to sales, though.
I did the same math as you Eric and that would've been a nice deal. Sadly, it wasn't to be... If anyone is tempted to get this set

I rang up sales to ask if they could do a special deal on PNTC for the few volumes I don't own and they couldn't help me. My sales consultant did say he'd fielded a lot of calls by people asking the same as me. I'd be interested to know if anyone was successful in getting a deal!
-
I'm in the same position as you. I think this is a great Christmas offer if you don't already own PNTC, however it's not much use for the rest of us who own most of the volumes in this series. Well done to Logos though for putting such a fine bundle on offer this Christmas!
You would still have them, but you would be locked in at that point. Eventually, computer OSs would evolve to the point where you would lose them unless you remained behind the curve digitally.
Then we'd each have to have a standalone computer just to run Logos - not connected to the Internet for fear of accidentally

I would also opt for the iPad. Whether other manufacturers like it or not, the iPad is the tablet new models to the market are constantly benchmarked against. This says something. There's no getting around the fact that iPads are expensive. However, Apple do seem to be good at issuing regular software updates for their devices. Therefore, if you decide

Friends, there's not long to go if you haven't placed your bid for this wonderful bargain!

The Old Testament. ... Sorry Orpheus, couldn't resist. Whilst not a resource as such, Chris Hodges of Church of the Highlands did a great sermon on "Tabernacle Prayer" which you can download from iTunes in audio format. It's worth listening to as it gives church members a very practical way to respond to the Tabernacle.
-
There's a good chance this resource could be sold for $12 as it doesn't look like we're going to need too many new bidders, or a few low bids increased to $12 to get the price down. We have nearly a full working week to get it there. Regardless of whether this goes for $12 or $15, this is an awesome buy.

Well done Logos. A positive step forward. Let's hope the Zondervan floodgates now open!
