• Re: Windows 8 & Logos- Logo's Team thoughts?

That's a common misconception. First, there is no "tablet version" of Win7 like there was with XP. All the tablet features are built into the base OS. Second, I use Win7 on an HP Slate daily. I use the stylus for handwritten notes, not navigating windows. Win7 is actually fairly touch friendly. I'm not saying it's perfect, and there is the odd program

  • Re: Why I am starting to hate this software

When I boot my TabletPC, I immediately run Logos and OneNote. They stay open until the next time I reboot, or Logos crashes, whichever comes first. Usually this means about once a month. I use sleep mode normally, so I rarely ever reboot. Updates I do if: a) I see a feature I want in one of the updates b) I see a bugfix for a bug I am encountering regularly

Rebind the swipe gestures to Page Up and Page Down. I really wish they'd support the Scroll Up and Scroll Down actions as well as two finger drag and pinch.

Steve from Logos support called me and got Authorized Version to show up finally, although we still aren't really sure why it didn't or exactly what we did to make it show up.

  • Re: Missing Resources

OK, after doing a scan in my new installation of the old installation's resource directory, both have the same number of resources, but all is not well. "Authorized Version" is still missing from the new installation, meaning something must also still be missing from the old installation to get the counts to equal out.

OK, I've made it through the letter B and the results are very dishearting. There are three major problems: Resources missing in the new installation: Ages Software Overview Guide Anchor Bible Dictionary Overview Authorized Version BAR 27:06 The Beauty of Spiritual Language Biblia Hebraica Stutgartensia: WIVU Constituency Tress Biblical Archaeologist

I'm having the same problem on a clean install. 39 resources are missing (out of 3923). I'm slowing going screen by screen to identify them. The first one missing is "Ages Software Overview Guide".

Illustrator or Freehand might be good tools for creating more intricate stuff since tgen you can create splines and such.

Why do all the expensive prepubs always come out in clusters? Please guys, stagger the expensive ones in two week intervals so each comes out of a different paycheck.

Could it be that they are releasing it as a for-sale extension?
I would expect to see a public beta followed by a for-sale extension. Since PBB is a paid extension now, surely this will continue. But they will want to get some good beta testing, so I think a public beta is likely. [quote

Many of you have been begging for it, which tells me it was very useful for at least some folks. What did you actually do with it in practical terms? Which Windows 7 did you get? With Professional, you should be able to run it in an XP virtual machine.

I think this blog post about Nokia pretty well sums up my experience and frustration with Logos4: "Nokia spent many years, and a great deal of money, doing research and development of a technology called NFC, or “near field communication.” NFC really does have the potential to transform all kinds of everyday interactions; it’s essentially a flavor of

I find it interesting that you cite dynamic collections as one of the great features since I find them so frustrating. Maybe things have stabilized, but it seems they are always tinkering with the metadata which messes up my collections. And I find myself in frequent disagreement with the metadata. We can't even agree on what should be tagged Bible

  • Re: Apple outlawing content sold outside of their service

My understanding is that Apple is requiring that if you make content available in an app that is sold from outside the app, you must do the following: 1) Also allow that content to be sold in-app through the iStore at the same price 2) Not give any link in-app to ways of buying the content out -of-app 3) Restrict in-app purchases to only be available
