• Re: How can I find how many manuscripts there are?
I would suppose from what you write that you are implying that there was sufficient space to have included the longer ending of Mark. He rather indicates that the Gospel according to Mark is ended by using the usual bracketting device of indicating the name of the work -- ΚΑΤΑ ΜΑΡΚΟΝ.
Thanks for the Training session
gives you the images of the Vaticanus ... they probably have the Sinaiticus as well.
[read prior post to get link] Did NOT look at every book ending. Did lookat Mat, Mark, Luke, John and Acts Normal spacing is to leave the rest of the column empty At the end of Mark they leave the normal space and all of the next column

I have questions and I do not expect answers. I have noted some lose ends in this thread. And I have been told by friends that some of my questions are ‘cans of worms’. One thing that I have noted is that often questions asked do not get answered. That positions taken do not get countered – that may be outside of the forum rules. One post • In the Sinaiticus

[Ignoring dates of availability] Some of the scrolls were

The uninstall program for most programs leave behind anything that you have changed and only remove what they installed. Here not removing the resources would follow standard uninstall procedures. Back them up to CDs and then just remove the folders is what I would do.

""I trust the LXX about as far as I can throw it. "" Have you read the LXX and compared verse by verse to the KJV and the NSAB to note differences? I have. I have a theory about the LXX. It is 10 pages long so will summarize. Question: What did the early church (in the days of Paul and John) use as Scripture? My research is leading me to the conclusion

“I'm not sure what point you are attempting to make here (if any). It should be noted, however that Brenton was dealing with the Greek text of the LXX and not the Hebrew.” I said this was a good exercise for the student – so before replying I have done the exercise and proved most of what has been said in this thread [and learned a new thing or two

The Septuagint version of the Old Testament (Ps 45:8) 8 Come, behold the works of the Lord, Who has wrought desolations and wonders in the earth.
I find the most interesting form of study for a small group is an interactive verse by verse
Verses are too small – Try paragraphs at the minimum – need to cover a complete thought (imho) Verses were introduced in the 1550’s (or so) to allow finding words in a concordance. Not all verses cover a complete thought

Now I have read the two articles I could accept that Nehemiah was governor prior to his asking the king for leave But not the other - I would tell you why but that would be out side of Forum Rules That does NOT (IMHO) resolve the issues for all time - Thanks for pointing out the articles

The author of the article referenced ( McFall, Leslie ) re-dates everything (he could be correct BUT) He has Nehemiah's governorship end when most others date the beginning of his mission. That is he has Nehemiah returning to Babylon when all others have him leaving Babylon Or about 445 BC And the logic of that argument is in “a previous article” (but
