  • Re: New user, best practices on note-taking / highlighting?

I've made hundreds of notes using notes. When I come across a noteworthy article or quote, I'll copy and paste it into notes, tagging it with a Bible passage that I associate in my mind. One idea goes into one note. I don't put multiple ideas into one note. If you're searching for a quote later, narrow your search to My Documents. This yields good results

  • Re: Zondervan Sale

Thank you for these links! Made several buys. Does Baker Academic have any specials? As an ETS member, I'd much prefer all these special buys in Logos, rather than physical.

How we grieve with and for the Morris family. Praying for them, as we remember the promise of our Savior (John 11:25-26).

  • Re: Congratulations on 30 years

Congratulations Bob and everyone at Faithlife on 30 years. When you first launched, it definitely was "by faith." Who could have imagined then where Bible software and the company are now. We're grateful for your contribution to God's kingdom work. I've benefited so greatly!

  • Re: 50% off Wright Bundle

I think the book deal is well worth picking up. It's an excellent conversation partner with other New Testament introductions.

IMHO, the video falls short of its potential. It's a lot of talking head shots in a room, when it could be visualizing the New Testament world of Israel, Turkey, Greece, Rome

  • Re: Live Faithlife Event

I watched the video. What was the big announcement? Aren't all the Equip pieces already out there and functioning? Or was this the official launch?

  • Re: Who primarily uses Logos Notes for their bible notes?

I once kept noteworthy quotes in a physical notebook, but the more I used Logos, the more I use it to organize my notes. My system isn't great, but it works for me, and I've been doing it for so long I can't change now. I link quotes and articles to Bible passages. So, for example, Micah 6:8 is the place I keep anything related to social justice. Debate

  • Re: Geography Studies

Bibleplaces.com is a terrific photographic resource. It's newest series is going book-by-book through the Bible ; it's newest release is 2 Samuel. The site's proprietor, Todd Bolen, has a photo collection that's in several Logos packages and also has contributed to the excellent Lexham Geographic Commentary series .Cannot recommend these resources more

  • Book Suggestion: Vol 2 in Jewish historical series by Lester Grabbe

This second volume needs to be produced by Logos: A History of the Jews and Judaism in the Second Temple Period, Volume 2: The Coming of the Greeks: The Early Hellenistic Period (335-175 BCE) (The Library of Second Temple Studies, 68) T&T Clark, 2011. Volumes one and three are already available. I've been working through volume three and it is outstanding

  • Re: Kerux Commentaries Hebrews

I like the idea of this series and for that reason, I too looked at the preview and noticed its use of Barnabas. Pretty bold assertion, especially when it was Origen (I think) who said, "Only God knows who wrote Hebrews."

  • Re: New Dead Sea scrolls found in desert cave in Israel, and a Greek puzzle

What's frustrating to me is they announced a nice fragment from Zechariah and Nahum, but there's no good, detailed photo from the many articles showing the new discovery.

[quote user="Jan Krohn"] What did y'all buy from the Wipf & Stock sale? I'd get another two or three books if there are any good suggestions. This is what I've bought in this (and the previous two) sales: Beyond Death: Exploring the Evidence for Immortality | Logos Bible Software The Fire That Consumes: A Biblical and Historical Study of the Doctrine

  • Re: Corresponding Words (Universal Uncheck?)

Another question of a different sort: Whenever I copy Bible verses to Word, the font is Arial. Is it possible to change its font--so it pastes in Calibri, instead of having to change it in Word?
