• Quick Question

I have a few saved layouts, and each time I pull up my main one, the passage is set to Titus 1, even if I looked at a number of different passages last time I had that layout open. Is that normal, or should each layout open up to the last passage (or pages) you viewed last time you had that layout open? Hopefully that question make sense... Thanks,

  • Re: New to Mac...question about hardware and question about software

Hi there, I have a very similar machine and find that Logos runs quite well on here. The program itself still has the occasional issue due to it being in the Alpha stage, but I have yet to encounter any significant problems. If all you are looking to do for now is read, you're in business. I have all my resources on here, and am able to read them with

  • Re: A14 HANG: Scrolling Thru Resource

I'm not sure if this problem is related or not, but I noticed that after I tweaked program settings, I began to have difficulty scrolling. Once I restored defaults, scrolling went back to normal.

  • Re: A13a: Awesome. A14+: Wishlist.

I've also been having the "quirks" with the tabs. Glad it's not just me. Not a huge deal, but sometimes I can see the entire title, and sometimes it'll only display the icons, which are nearly impossible to distinguish.

  • Re: A13 program settings visible but not functional

I'm experiencing the same. Based on previous Alphas, my guess would be that they are not supposed to be functional yet.

David, I'm hoping to secure a laptop sooner rather than later, but I will keep that in mind and track you down if nothing works out. Bryan, This could easily turn into a thread hijacking, but I just don't really see the need for an iPad. The iPhone does a pretty good job as an e-reader (I've read through several classics using Stanza), and I don't think

  • Re: Logos 4 will not install at all

Do you see a little blue logos icon in the menu bar? That's the top right line on the main screen next to the icons for wi-fi, sound, date/time, etc. (Forgive me if you already knew that, but I'd been a Mac user for a solid year when I got Logos and I had no clue that's what it was called). If you do see that icon, you should be able to drag your cursor
I guess you are not the press secretary then
You kid, but you have no idea how high I jumped the first time I saw that I was Obama's campaign spokesman. I think my first reaction was "I did not say that!? Who said I did!?" It took me months to stop flinching every time I heard my name pop in the press. And it had

Haha, yes, been keeping track of most of those, as well as Craigslist. If I had my dream, I'd find a recent-vintage (2009) Macbook Pro already loaded with Office for Mac and/or iWork that someone was selling way below its actual value. Doubt that'll happen; maybe I should "plant a seed" in someone seedy tv preacher's ministry...hmm...

  • Complaint

I'm normally not one to complain, Philippians 2 certainly indicates that it's a sin, but I just have to get this off my chest.... Logos is going to end up costing me way too much money. I got the Bible Study package, because I teach at a Christian school, so I don't have a ton of money, and I didn't see a huge benefit in the additional resources of

  • Re: Plans for reverse interlinears for HCSB and NET Bible?

Was just reading through Job in the HCSB, was enjoying the use of the NASB interlinear as read the two side-by-side, and was wondering if if there was going to be a HCSB interlinear for Logos. Glad to see I'm not the only one with that desire, and glad there are plans in the works. Thanks!

  • Re: Be Honest - Would you buy again?

Yup. I did my homework, compared it to Accordance, talked to some people who already had Logos, and decided I wanted to get it. I read everything that said the Mac version was in Alpha testing. After watching the chatter about the first couple of Alpha versions, I decided that having something usable was better than waiting six months, and went for

Hi there! I'm a newbie too and slowly figuring things out as I go along. Have you already read through the FAQ thread? http://community.logos.com/forums/t/6747.aspx It's answered a bunch of a question I had. Depending on exactly where you are, you should be seeing at least a little blue Logos logo in the menu bar at the top right of your screen. If

Wow. I updated resources this evening, and now have 270 as well, including the aforementioned-Holman references. Thanks for the tip!

  • Holman Resources

I have the Bible Study library, have downloaded Alpha 9, and updated resources (and it downloaded about 20 more resources), and I still don't have the Holman Illustrated Bible Dictionary, the Handbook, or the Concise Bible Dictionary. Is anyone (everyone?) else in the same boat as me with regard to these specific resources? I have hard copies of the

Okay, another question for anyone who happens to peruse this thread. It seems that on several things I clicking, all that shows up is a "No view exists for this panel kind" message. Particularly the "history" and "program settings" tabs. Is that just a function of Alpha being in development, or is that unusual?

Hi there! Brand spanking new Logos user. As in, I made the purchase phone call less than two hours ago. I have been stalking the site and the forums for a few weeks now, so I have some idea what I'm doing, but I do have one main question: What does the indexing process look like (separate window, etc.?) and how do you tell how far along the indexing
