Yep, that fixed it. Thanks.

The 5 second delay (with a spinning wheel displayed inside a white box where the verse is going to appear) occurs within any book that has references to bible passages when you tap your finger on one of the bible references. I am using NASB at the moment.

There has been no response from Faithlife, I wonder, what is the correct communication path for raising issues with the software?

Yes, it turns out that the slowness goes away while in airplane mode, and comes back when out of airplane mode. Given that I have already downloaded (and set as default) a version of the bible, it doesn't make any sense that having access to the internet slows down the popup box.

My iPad has a sim card in it, so its always online. Sadly the slowness occurs universally, no matter which pane or panes are on the screen. Does no one else really have this problem? It seems odd that it would just be me. (It has always done this for me, but its just starting to annoy me more and more lately)

  • iPad delay when viewing bible references in a book

While reading a book, and (for example) there are a string of 5-6 bible references, I want to tap on each one to see the text. This works ok, however when I tap of a verse, it takes 3-5 seconds before the verse appears. It displays a spinner, and then the verse eventually appears. Now I have checked and can confirm that the preferred bible version is

  • Reading a resource on a mac like on iOS

I know on an iPhone with accessibility turned on, we can do a "two finger drag from top" to get a menu, and it will allow you to tell the phone to start reading the logos book. I can't work out how to do this on my mac, is it not possible? It seems odd to me that the iOS app would allow reading but the desktop one wouldn't, so I assume there must be
You may want to consider hiding the resources that you do not use or want.
So you wait for the 4Gb to download (assuming there is disk space), then "hide" the thousands of resources I don't want, then the disk space will come back? I think I probably do have enough space to download everything and then go in and

  • Download only some resources?

I have avoided installing Logos on my newer laptop, as it doesn't have a huge amount of disk space. Last time I downloaded Logos it tried to download another 4Gb of things I most assuredly will never use. Is it possible to download Logos and then tell it to only download the things I use? (i.e. A couple of bibles and a couple of books I have purchased

  • Re: Considering 2015 12" MacBook?

Yea its certainly a compromise, its just a matter of working out the cost/benifits. For me I do have to carry this thing around every day quite some distance, so the smaller screen size, slower CPU is for me, worth it, to have a computer that is half the weight.

  • Re: Open Question: Quality vs. features

I originally started with Logos, and switched over to Accordance (in case its relevant, all on a mac). There are a few main reasons I switched, but the primary one was this. When I opened Logos, because I wanted to check a bible verse, it would start opening, and then I would be like, "argh this is annoyingly slow" then I would start opening accordance

Wait, what?! logos saving/prinring/exporting notes has not worked for 6 months? I had been under the impression Logos was considered to be a quality product. I had no idea even basic functions would be left broken for as long as 6 months.

Is this file stored on disk anywhere? Perhaps theres a way to get at the data that way?

I wasn't sure if was a bug or was meant to work like that. So this being the case, how does one go about getting their notes out into (for example) word format? I guess I could manually re-type them, but that would take no small amount of effort.

  • [resolved] Print, and export bug. How do you export notes into a usable format?

When I try to export all my notes to word, or PDF or anything, the first page of notes include the bible references i.e. "Gen 1:5", but then when you skip forward in the preview, and in the resultant saved file, later pages don't include the reference, making the export all but useless. Does anyone know a way to export notes properly? Thanks!

I've gone ahead and purchased the 1.3Ghz model. Interestingly Accordance actually runs a lot faster, so much so its noticeably more pleasant to use. Im guessing I'll end up transitioning over to using Accordance. Not sure why there is such a huge difference, I do know that with Accordance you are able to just download only the resources you want to

For what it's worth I have recently discovered that, at least on my 2012 (max spec) macbook pro, Accordance starts up much much quicker, searches, and scrolls much much faster. So I am intending to go ahead and get the new 12 inch macbook and just switch to Accordance where possible. In fact lately what I have found, now that I have Logos and Accordance
