  • Re: How to best research a complex topic in Logos 8

    Hello MJ. I saw your answer and I think you might help me. I have a broader and more simple question. I am in Dr Heiser's Awakening School. I am trying to find all instances of (singular) God/YHWH/Elohim coupled with any creation type words, form, fashion, make, made, create, breath life into. I have a full version of Logos 8 plus lots of references

  • Re: .Help in documenting the 22 chapters in Revelation

    Fred: Basically, this is what I want to do. For example I will quote Revelation 1:1 "The revelation of Jesus Christ, which God agave him to show to his servants the things that must soon take place. He made it known by sending his angel to his servant John..." Next, I will write what I see in this verse: 1. This a a "revelation" from Yeshua: Definition;

    "For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel, not in cleverness of speech, so that the cross of Christ would not be made void." What is an Ellipsis?? An ellipsis is a “figure of speech” by which the Bible teaches that which it doesn’t say. Understanding how to interpret an ellipsis is extremely important for three

    MJ: I will stop posting on this forum . I only wanted to share something that was free (Bible College). I am 78 years old and don't debate, sell, or anything else you mentioned. Over the years I've spent about $8k on Logos products and am not selling nothing here. I have been a Logos member before they were named "Logos." I started with 3 1/2 inch disks

    I didn't have size problems with Logos 6 with visual copy. Now with Logos 7 I end up with two or three slides with LARGE FONTS. Even if I go in and take out the spaces and paragraph separations in my body text.... I still end up with several visual copy slides. UNHAPPY CAMPER!! Now I don't use visual copy any longer where as I use to use it all the

  • Re: notes in a bible

    Thanks to the both of you for answers to my question. I think I must be doing something wrong as you say "you can make a note that is attached to a selection of text, which will not show up in other bibles... or you can make a note that is attached to a verse reference... this will show up in other bibles.' Where do you do these selections to make a

  • notes in a bible

    When I do a bible study I will sometimes put a note in a verse. Is there anyway I can place a note, for example in the ESV in the book of John verse 1 (or any verses) and it will show up in my other bibles? It seems to me that at one time I could put a note in one version and the note(s) would show up in my other bibles and even in my main commentary

    Mark: Thanks, this sounds very logical. I don't know what "sort order" I used. I just started using this type of search since Morris Proctor wrote an article on finding an imperative in 2Tim. I hope I can get better at it. LOL I will try to use the Greek text next time. I've got a lot to learn in Logos. thanks again for your help, your servant in Messiah
