• Bug: Linking to self-referencing PageVolume milestone in PBB?

I'm continuing to play with the PBB. This time, I wanted to tackle something a bit bigger. I wanted do build on the work done by other Logos users and combine the two volumes of Fairbairn's Typology of Scripture into a single file ( see original post ). The main reason I wanted to combine the two volumes is that the indices at the end of vol. 2 pointed

The only way I could get the links to compile correctly was to explicitly state I wanted to open the PBB file: e.g., [[i. 17 >> logosres:pbb:7adb1c4ab964400fb6aa72c155494968;ref=VolumePage.V_1,_p_17]]
You shouldn't do this, because the resource ID is randomly generated, so this won't work

  • Re: Greek Headwords in the Personal Book Builder?

Hi Kevin. I'm just playing around really. I noticed that Abbott-Smith's lexicon was available online and was wanting to experiment a bit (I just realized that Logos has it in prepub though, so I won't go much further with it beyond experimentation). I like being able to build resources like this in general.

  • PBB - Formatting within Resource LInks?

I'd like to add resource links to my MA thesis, and I'm finding that any formatting (e.g.) italics that are in my original docx file do not transfer to the compiled resource. For example, the following entry is in my list of abbreviations, where I want the abbreviation DSSSE and the title The Dead Sea Scrolls Study Edition to be in italics in the compiled

  • Ctrl+Alt+C crashes at Sirach Prologue for WIKI / HTML / RL Link

I'm hoping to figure out what the proper link is to the Prologue of Sirach for some work with the PBB. When I open any text that contains the Prologue and try to copy the location as a WIKI, HTML or RL link, Logos crashes. Steps: Open NRSV. Set copy location as WIKI, HTML or RL NOTE: Just changing copy location format to RL crashes Logos. Navigate to

  • Personal Books >> Milestones for Footnotes?

Is there a standard milestone / datatype for footnote references? Say I want to compile a Bible that has footnotes, but the footnotes are in a separate file (similar to how the NET Bible First Edition footnotes are made). I would like to create a direct link from the biblical text directly to the footnote so that ideally the footnote text would show

  • Hebrew Morphological Phrase Search

A student wants to find ALL instances of the Hebrew phrase: קדשׁ הקדשׁ What is the most elegant way of searching DIRECTLY in a Hebrew text for all instances of this phrase regardless of the inflection, accentuation or vowel pointing of the words? I've toyed with: lemma:קֹדֶשׁ.1@N* BEFORE 0 WORD lemma:הַ@A* BEFORE 0 WORD lemma:קֹדֶשׁ.1@N* However, I

  • PBB - Old Testament Pseudepigrapha Milestones

I'm trying to make a Personal Book Resource of English translations that will scroll with the OT Greek Pseudepigrapha with Morphology . I'm having a hard time figuring out exactly how to structure my docx file with milestones. Here are some example wiki links (using Ctrl+Alt+C) to 1 Enoch 1:1 in different resources related to the Old Testament Pseudepigrapha
Your posting mixes up datatypes with resources.
Hmm... the link examples above had the following: logosres:greekpseud logosres:otpseud01 logosres:chaspot logosres:otgrkswetetxt I thought that the text above was the "resource" and that the datatypes were: ref=BibleGP ref=BibleOTP ref=BibleCAP ref=BibleLXX2

  • Re: Updated Logos.com Website!

I'm happy to have this in electronic form, but I'm disappointed that the witnesses are not linked to their descriptions (as listed in the Introduction|The Apparatus|The Witnesses ). I know that at least one electronic version of the THGNT has these witnesses hyperlinked. Are there plans to update the apparatus with these links?

  • BrillDAG (Brill Dictionary of Ancient Greek) article structure and symbols

It's great to have this resource [and at an affordable (pre-publication) price]. I do have a few observations: The "Visual Guide" that explains the structure of each lexical entry, including symbols like the diamond (♦) or the "black right-pointing triangle" (▶) is lacking (though it is printed in color inside the cover of the print edition).

  • Greek BWS⇒Septuagint Translation⇒Hebrew BWS⇒QSM (broken by disambiguation)?

One of our professors at GCTS regularly assigns a word study on πηλος in the context of John 9:6 ff. (the story of Jesus healing the blind man by making mud from spit and dirt). In using the Bible Word Study Guide, it would be helpful for students to be able to go to the Septuagint Translation section and then be able to "click" on the various Hebrew

  • Synopsis mark up?

Hello all, has anyone put together a highlighting file for the synoptic gospels that color codes/underlines agreements and differences among the Synoptic Gospels, but would show up in the regular Greek/English text in a way that would allow the user to see the differences in the context of the canonical Gospel as opposed to seeing it in columnar format

  • Ancient Literature in Bible Book Explorer Intertext Tool

I'm loving the Intertext view in the Bible Book Explorer, but I would love to see the same kind of visualization available for the various corpora covered in the Ancient Literature Dataset. It would also be helpful if connections between OT books and OT books and Apocryphal books could be included. Right now the resource is severely skewed to the Protestant

  • Adding other texts to search results (by series or collection?)

Is there a way to add "versions" to search results based on corpus (either series, or even defined by collection)? For instance, in the screenshot linked below, I have search results for ἄβυσσος in Greek Classics. Is there a way to display all of the appropriate English translations next to the Greek text?

  • Greek Headwords in the Personal Book Builder?

I've been playing with the Personal Book Builder, and I was wondering where there is any documentation on creating Greek or Hebrew Lexicons? I see that there are instructions on building 'dictionaries' ( link ). And I also see on the wiki that there's information about the different kinds of milestones needed for such Dictionaries ( link ): The syntax
