  • Re: Adding other texts to search results (by series or collection?)

I'm aware of that option, John. My request has to do with the "textual searches" that are automatically performed on things like the LXX, NT, Apostolic Fathers, Pseudepigrapha, Philo, Josephus, and Greek Classics. If you click the " Greek Classics " link in the Bible Word Study "Textual Searches" section for ἄβυσσος

Of course, this can be done text by text, but it would be helpful to have the ability to automatically have the English translations available in the Perseus collection available in the search results.

  • Adding other texts to search results (by series or collection?)

Is there a way to add "versions" to search results based on corpus (either series, or even defined by collection)? For instance, in the screenshot linked below, I have search results for ἄβυσσος in Greek Classics. Is there a way to display all of the appropriate English translations next to the Greek text?

  • Ancient Literature in Bible Book Explorer Intertext Tool

I'm loving the Intertext view in the Bible Book Explorer, but I would love to see the same kind of visualization available for the various corpora covered in the Ancient Literature Dataset. It would also be helpful if connections between OT books and OT books and Apocryphal books could be included. Right now the resource is severely skewed to the Protestant

  • Bug: Certain accents not displaying correctly in GE TOC, etc.

I just got the new Brill Dictionary of Ancient Greek (GE), and noticed that in several places a "macron" (horizontal bar) over an initial vowel with another accent/breathing mark is not displaying correctly in the resource toolbar.

I'm happy to have this in electronic form, but I'm disappointed that the witnesses are not linked to their descriptions (as listed in the Introduction|The Apparatus|The Witnesses ). I know that at least one electronic version of the THGNT has these witnesses hyperlinked. Are there plans to update the apparatus with these links?

The ability to have multiple sets of resource linking in the mobile version would be helpful. Integrated citation manager (like an import of Zotero) so that all non-logos sources could be stored in a database and annotated by the user from within the program (basically a souped up version of Nota Bene). The ability for users to create custom citation

Thanks Rick. I figured that was what was behind the "break" between texts. I know that this is an issue in general with Bible software. Ignoring the vowel points might be a way forward for Logos, but in the meantime I can instruct students to keep these kinds of things in mind. ~Jim

  • Greek BWS⇒Septuagint Translation⇒Hebrew BWS⇒QSM (broken by disambiguation)?

One of our professors at GCTS regularly assigns a word study on πηλος in the context of John 9:6 ff. (the story of Jesus healing the blind man by making mud from spit and dirt). In using the Bible Word Study Guide, it would be helpful for students to be able to go to the Septuagint Translation section and then be able to "click" on the various Hebrew

  • Synopsis mark up?

Hello all, has anyone put together a highlighting file for the synoptic gospels that color codes/underlines agreements and differences among the Synoptic Gospels, but would show up in the regular Greek/English text in a way that would allow the user to see the differences in the context of the canonical Gospel as opposed to seeing it in columnar format

  • Double or Triple Space Hebrew Export (Mac especially)

A frequent question I get from students at Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary: How do I export Greek/Hebrew text in double or triple spacing for creating worksheets for translation purposes? So, is there a way to export in double/triple space? Using the print/export feature would be particularly important for Mac users who are stuck with MSOffice
