Thanks guys. I made backup copies of my personal books. I don't use that feature very often so I'm not going to worry about moving the personal books until I need one.
-
Thanks Graham. I thought that was the case but wanted to be sure before I erased the old hard drive.

Just got a new laptop. Is there anything that I need to manually backup from the old laptop? When I install Logos on the new one will my documents and highlights sync from the cloud?

I don't know what you intend to use it for or what your background is, but if you are a pastor, scholar, or really serious Bible student I would think you would want a broad scope of materials. I have a range of Bible dictionaries that I read and compare. Here is a sample article: Justification. The act of God in bringing sinners into a new covenant
With that said... new information: while every publisher has different rules, it looks like we may be able to get a contract if we agree to distribute just 90% of a publisher's catalog. This would let us not offer the 10% least appropriate / most objectionable content. I'm hoping this will solve the problem.
I think
If we could offer every ebook Amazon offers, but only if we did offer every ebook Amazon offers, should we? And if so, how?
I believe the benefits of offering every book outweighs the negative of having to offer bad books. Here's how I would do it: 1. The resources need to be in a separate store. There's nothing wrong

https://www.logos.com/product/35513/spiritual-disciplines-for-the-christian-life This is one of the best books I've ever read. I've read it several times and taught through it at church. It's a great book.
A "classic" written with Islam in mind - Thomas Aquinas - Summa Contra Gentiles .
Very interesting contribution. Thanks.

I really appreciate the suggestions. I'm going to start with the James White book.
I would highly recommend What Every Christian Needs to Know about the Quran by James R. White.
That looks really good. I may start there. I'm still looking at what's out there.

Can anyone recommend Logos resources on Islam? I have the Sword of Islam, but I noticed it only has a 2 star rating, so I'm not sure that is the best history available.
-
I'm very grateful. I wouldn't have my library without Logos. I could never afford these books in print.
Noticed that the Zondervan Bible Reference Bundle doesn't consider any of the big titles/series that I already have in that bundle.
You could try selling the resources that you have and then applying the money to the purchase of the larger bundle.

It looks like Saint Patrick: The Man and His Works by O'Loughlin is the best book out there, but this one is not in the classic collection, nor do I own it. I think I'll start reading what I have for now and then look at purchasing O'Loughlin in the future. Thanks everyone for the advice.

I have https://www.logos.com/product/30541/classic-studies-on-st-patrick and would like to read one leading up to St. Patrick's Day. Does anyone have any recommendations on where to start? I was thinking of https://www.logos.com/product/38961/the-life-of-st-patrick-and-his-place-in-history based upon the book descriptions.
I'd love to see it and Thompson Chain Reference. Both would be valuable to me.
That is a great quote. Noting the classic works quoted by modern homileticians may be a great way to discover which works to give attention to in the formation of new classic bundles. Great suggestion.
There are some folks on these forms whose contributions, quite frankly, I'd rather not have to see.
Do you find them rude or unhelpul? What is the issue? I would personally like to see some individuals be more gracious in how they respond to others and how they address Faithlife.
I think you can turn this off in Tools > Settings > Select Smart.
That was the issue. Thank you you all. That has been driving me crazy. I think I turned it off a long time ago and then forgot about it. Then when I installed Logos 6 it must have been on by default.
