  • Re: Book Suggestion

Amen! Not having it is unconscionable, since in my opinion the Strange Fire book was an attack book, there must be a response available. It's only fair.

  • Seems Slower on My Computer

When L5 came out, it was a bit faster than L4, but for the past 6 months, it has been geeting progressively worse on my machine with every update. Now it has become unstable, indexing has slowed to a snails pace, and the handouts module has grown increasingly corrupt. I am very disappointed. It has become a quite a behemoth. Does anyone else have the

I rebooted last night. I don't want to blame the problem on Logos. But it seems to be the only program running this way. If I only had the dough for a shiny new Mac. As far as I can tell, I've done most of the conventional troubleshooting. If no-one else has experienced the same lag as me, there must be something I am doing wrong? I don't want to have

  • Re: Worse and Worse

Rosie, that explains the handouts function. It gave me a lot of headaches as I was trying to do my lesson plan. I hope they consider reworking it. It's still useful for teachers. However, maybe you're right about giving up and using Word.

  • Fee! 1 Corinthians! Hallelujah!

I am so glad they put Fee's 1 Corinthians volume in the March Madness sale!! This is the best I've felt in a long time. I have wanted this volume for years, but for a long time it didn't come out in Logos format in English, sold separately. I just want to say, to all the Logos folks who made this happen: Thanks a million! It feels like Christmas! God

I just found out that Fee's commentary goes well with a Peking Duck dinner! I wonder if he knows it...

  • Re: Logos CEO in London -- meet up?

I had a chance to meet Dan Pritchett here in Beijing last year. A really great guy! I bet Bob is just as nice. If Bob ever considers a trip to Beijing, he's welcome to join me for Beijing Muslim-style BBQ beef where I took Dan.

  • Re: Chinese Spiritual Books

I would like to bump this suggestion up. This is a good idea. There are more and more Christian books being published in China nowadays, numbering in the thousands of titles. The only thing I might differ on in Logos' strategy is I think that all Chinese books should be release in Simplified Script first. As lovely as the traditional script is, frankly

  • Re: Logos CEO in London -- meet up?

Dan, you're welcome back anytime! It's true that very, very few people who come to Beijing actually get to eat traditional Beijing food. I guess that less than 1% of restaurants serve it. Most of the people in Beijing, and the restaurants, are from other parts of China. Food and Logos go together very well, IMHO.

  • Re: Why is the ESV the default translation for Logos (the company)?

Thank you for responding, Bob, with an updated answer! I opened this thread with a mild concern about perceptions. However, it turns out that my own perception needed to be widened. I appreciate the opportunity to learn. And for Logos to have a chance to respond to those, who like me, might question the choice of the ESV. I'd like to state, for the

I concede! If that is true..... We definitely need the Oxford Annotated Study Bible in Logos!

@Rosie I think I can still make myself understood in 2 of them (French and Vietnamese), in a rusty manner, and currently am speaking Chinese on a daily basis. It's just a hobby some people have. Oh, I forgot...Low German

I use it all the time. I haven't gotten to work on my paper today, which is why I haven't used it today. It is an extremely valuable resource.

It might have been the effect of the yellow background with the blue embossing on blurry eyes after reading Logos books on the computer screen for hours.

  • Re: Paper white vs. I Pad

Getting a Paperwhite is a really, really good move. I just got one for Christmas and I am so happy. I am just sick of my iPad. All I like to do is read books, I don't like to play games at all, and so the Paperwhite works very well for me. I am now 44, though not really that old, my eyes are not as resistant to abuse as they used to be. And staring

Logos 6 wasn't working well, so I totally reinstalled it, only to find out that the Send to Kindle no longer exists under manage mobile devices. I sent an e-mail to tech support many days ago but have not received a reply. I am very disappointed that no-one has replied to my e-mail. I tried to use the Set Kindle to (kindle address) command, but of course
