I agree with the need to transfer the WORDsearch KJV to Logos, unless Logos will put the pericopes in the KJV 1900 version. I have always liked that about the WORDsearch version of the KJV. On occasion I would use the WORDsearch app to see the KJV with the pericopes. Maybe toggelable pericopes in Logos KJV 1900 version is the real and simpler answer

Thanks Graham, I tested it and it works. But now I have to use references instead of selected text. That is OK for most things but there is the occasion when selected text is needed. When I need to only make a note on only a portion of the text I cannot unless I don't mind getting these additional markers. What is your strategy to get around this and

Thank You Faithlife! Your software has changed my life. Reading, Studying, Teaching and Giving Sermons. I remember back in the early days I used QuickVerse that came on floppy disks before the internet, because I could not afford Libronix. I stayed with the QuickVerse software even after it was bought out by WordSearch which I had also, but finally

Today I was marking the 10 Plagues of Egypt in my notes making a different note for each of the 10 Plagues of Egypt. I was using the KJV 1900 Bible but then opened the ESV to see the Pericopes for the 10 Plagues. I noticed that for each of the notes I created in the KJV 1900 Bible (10 note files, one for each Plague) I could see several note Icons in

Thanks Graham. Your always a wealth of information.

What is the impact on system performance when creating Notes and Highlights? I tend to go light on Notes and Highlighting thinking that my system will slow down when creating too many Notes and Highlights. I have also read somewhere that Visual Filters will slow my system down if I have more than a few on at a time. Logos is a very complex program and

The Forum Thread title was a typo. Really! I didn't see it until I posted it. Can someone fix it or maybe that is why there are no new posts here, because we are SADs.

This forum looks like it died in 2019. There is little to no activity here. What happened to all the Logos users? I am guilty of this too. I haven't posted here in about a year until today. Does it have anything to do with the fact that Logos/FaithLife doesn't seem to respond to our needs anyway so there is no point in talking about it? Are We out of

It seems like in these modern days they at Pacific Press would include a digital copy or some app to search them. Perhaps they will come out with digital copies from the start. They would sell many more copies that way because some of us won't buy them if we have to buy hardback copies. You can't carry them around much, at least the whole set. You would

I just posted about this very topic in the thread on SDA International Bible Commentary using PP as an example and that I have requested the same actions many times also. Logos doesn't seem to be interested in our denomination. Perhaps we are too small to count financially for them. I think we have to live with it. They do not respond to us. If they

It's 2020 now and no SDA International Commentary set in sight. Even if we had the text ready to go for Logos it would take them quite a while to make it available to Logos users. Actually, not meaning to be too pessimistic, I don't think that they put too much priority on our denomination. They still haven't fixed all the E. G. White Books. Some are

Thanks for that advise DAL. It works.

I recently re-installed Logos 8 on My laptop after moving from Windows 7 to Windows 10. When I installed Logos 8 it asked if I wanted all the resources downloaded or to download only the ones I use. At the time I was installing other things and didn't want to get bogged down waiting for all the resources to download so I opted for downloading the resources
See this article on global note settings + the following two. Size is set in the Note file, not Program Settings.
Thanks, Dave. I will try this suggestion. Thanks for your help.
Thank you Kevin for the recommendation. I want only for logos and word. I have ordered it today.
Don't forget to post when you have loaded Logos and tested it a couple of days. I would be interested to see if you are satisfied with the results. I had Logos on a Lenovo ThinkPad 2 and it ended up being too slow to be practical
"get control of your notes"! There are lots of threads in this forum with ideas on how to organize note files. There have been many people who arrive at this forum after finding that their notes have all been accumulated in a single highlighting pallette which has grown so large that it slows everything down. Getting in

So, what is your best Logos tip?
Don't buy it in the first place.
Logos is the best in the business. What other Bible Study program is better? I own almost all of them and find that Logos is the best. Even Accordance can't do all the things that Logos can do and they certainly don't have

Acts 5:29 Says that we ought to obey God rather than man. The question is, Who do we put first. God or money. The fourth commandment is very explicit on this topic. If we believe the other 9 then why not the fourth?

KJV (1900) has no Pericopes. I wish it did.

Lately (the last 3 or 4 months) I have noticed that when opening a new notes document or creating a new note in an existing note document. The Default font size is now 14 . I have looked in the Tools>Program Settings for the default font size but can only find the default font for resources and notes, not the size. Does anyone know why this is happening
