  • Re: Catholic Bible Commentaries in English that Logos Lacks (so far)

I have read cover to cover five of the New Collegeville Bible Commentary books (Gospels and Acts). They are good, but I like The Ignatius Press series (study bible) better. I also like the Catholic Commentary on Sacred Scripture series better (commentary) though I have only read Matthew cover to cover. Since I have 5 of them in print (New Collegeville

  • Re: Hmm... wonder when the Verbum Clergy Package slipped in

The Verbum Clergy package was available to students and faculty at Sacred Heart Major Seminary (Detroit) for the spring and summer of 2013. It may have been available elsewhere, but I am a student here. It was a fantastic deal, a friend of mine purchased it, I ordered the Verbum Basic with the academic discount. (I do not know how much more I am allowed

Very interesting comparison. Thank you. The Verbum Scripture Study for $934.95 is missing... (it fits in the empty box between foundations and master).

Dear Logos: I have a Nexus 7, running latest versions of Android and Verbum. • Re: Verbum Suggestion: Vatican II Collection

Did you try to fix the linking into Flannery by making it a higher priority than the Logos VII book? I do not know if that would work, but should be easy to try... I like the Flannery VII translation, I have it in paperback from a few years ago.

  • Re: Logos has the option to Google Cast their software

YES! Logos please do this. It would help not only for the home Bible study market, but for those churches that have large flat screen TV's or overhead projectors in meeting rooms.

A great idea! I would love to have you come to the Archdiocese of Detroit. My parish is 3200+ families, 12,000 people, and the church seats 1500. In a typical year we run about 12 Bible studies. There are 2 close by parishes (15 minutes) with 2800+ families and a few more with 1000+ families. National talent: Scott Hahn, Jeff Cavens, Peter Kreeft, Edward

  • Re: Lumen Fidei

I am not an accountant attempting to come up with real numbers, I am just trying to express my opinion to Logos. I purchased Verbum Domini for $5. It has 124 paragraphs and 382 references. Lumen Fidei is listed at $16. It has 60 paragraphs and 50 references. I did not consider that idea that Libreria Editrice Vaticana would charge more for royalties

$16 ($21) for an 88 page document that has 50 references? Dear Logos, this is way over priced. Very, very few people will need the Latin volume. Please just give us the English version. I have found a .docx version on the internet and will create a personal document for that price. I have made a few now, and I am getting good at them. As good as a Logos

  • Looking for a book on the literary devices used in the Bible

I am looking for suggestions on a resource that teaches all the literary devices/techniques used in the Bible. For example: 1) inclusio: also known as bracketing or parenthetical inclusion "This is my beloved Son" Matthew 3:17 with Matthew 17:5 2) parallelism: used extensively in the Psalms : my soul thirsts for you; my flesh faints for you (Ps 63:1

While I have only been using Verbum for 7 months, I agree. The new Lectionary is a nice improvement over the previous version, it is now actually usable. The improvements in the new "Plus" packages are also good to see. The original Verbum packages had too many filler/fluff products, and now there are more up to date and relevant books like the titles

  • Practicum on Android - Download of the media?

I have watched a few of the videos on my Google Nexus 7, the videos are sharp and clear, sound is also good. Very nice. Note: the video on the Nexus 7 is sharper than the video (when not in fullscreen) on the PC, which makes sense because of screen resolution differences. A few questions: How do I tell if all the media for the Practicum product has
